Fortress Mirabella (Peovica)

Wonderful view and the Fortress looks very inviting from Omis, for the low price of 25 HK you could visit. Was pretty crowded and my fear of heights was kicking in when there seemed to be just too many on it

Starigrad Fortress

Reviewed By love2travel_wmybabes - Kitchener, Canada

I took the easier of the two routes because I would not consider myself super fit for this type of climb. The path starts next to the fire station. If you’re facing it, go left and follow the signs for the fortress. It’s a well marked path just keep your eye on the rocks for markers. I set out at 8 am knowing that it would be a scorcher later on in the day. I would not want to do this any later in the summer months. You must have proper footwear and closed shoes with some grip. You cannot do this in sandals or flip flops. The climb is treacherous but definitely doable. I stopped when I needed to and had 1.5 litres of water. It took me just over an hour each way and longer than expected but that’s ok. It was not a race. The way down was also challenging as it was a little slippery. The entrance to the fortress is 20 Kuna. Make sure you have cash. The views are beyond description and well worth the pain.

Omis Cetina Canyon

Reviewed By BobandJosie - Reading, United Kingdom

As part of our excursion from a small cruise ship a party of about 24 of us all managed with a little bit of difficulty to embark into a small wooden boat equipped with an outboard motor the boatman in charge looking no more than a teenager. We then set off for a leisurely boat trip along the canyon past magnificent scenery. Very worthwhile doing.

Omis and Cetina River

Reviewed By ivangY9214FQ - Zagreb, Croatia

We took a trip from Supetar, island Brac (9 of us; 3 adults, 1 teenager and 5 kids), first with boat to Omis and than with kombi via rafting on Cetina. Overall trip was great especially rafting; 3 hours of fun on beautifull river Cetina with cristal clear waters, amazing canyon slopes, refreshing swimming (water around 20 Celsius) and bunch of fun. Multiple small waterfalls are making it more interesting but nothing dangerous; it was fully suitable to kids (ages 7 to 10). After rafting we had just enough time for a quick lunch in old town of Omis. Boat trip back to Supetar was also enjoyable (kids searching to see dolphins and adults drinking a glass of vine).

The Parish church of St. Michael

The inscription on the church door is saying that the church was built at the beginning of the 17th century. It was built by locals. The old stone bell-tower was finished in the 18th century. It's adorned by coats of arms of Omiš and Venetian's nobles.
