We went there with our kids. In the main square there were a concert and we sat and listen for some time. You can find a lot of cafe, restaurants and shops and have fun. We recommend a walk.

Lovely sculpture and very interesting. Dont miss it on the way around old town:) obviously its a monument for M Kopernik which the Olsztyn is very proud of hosting. I remember its been there many years ago and seems always fun for kids to clumb.

Good place for walking, jogging or cycling. You can also just lay down on the grass and relax. There is a huge Fountain where children can play during the summer. Public toilets are paid but they are not clean unfortunately. It's very close to the city center and old town. Missing a cafe or restaurant where you coulkd grab a coffee.

Another great place in Olsztyn to visit when you're in town. Come for a walk, take your bike. It's free and beautiful. Well maintained too!

Located on the edge of Olsztyn Town Centre and within easy walking distance of the Old Town, The Planetarium is well worth a visit, especially on a rainy day. Entrance fees are reasonable.
Given Mikolaj Kopernik's connection with the town, I was expecting a presentation based on his works in this field. This seemed even more likely, given the displays devoted to him in the foyer. However, after a 12 minute introduction into basic astronomy (unfortunately in Polish and no translation available), the main subject was revealed as The Alma Project in the Atacama Desert of Northern Chile - with English translation available via headphones that can be collected from the operator's desk inside the theatre.
Total viewing time around 45 minutes. A definite 'must' for younger children, when the weather dampens outside activities.

Beautiful 14th century Cathedral is one of the landmarks of Olszty.n.
The place is worth seeing no matter which religion yu follow if any.
Brick walls, massive multi platform front tower, great decoration and a scent of the past will charm almost every visitor.
Take an opportunity to sea unique Christmas crib during the festive season.

A good selection of trees but not that large. Unsure if any information in EngIish which would have helped. Suspect would be more impressive when flowers are out, but not quite right season when we went. Actual Forests, albeit less variety, more impressive.

If you interested in history, religions or old design it might be fun for you. Museum is pretty small and it takes you maximum a couple of hours to visit.
