The exhibition with lots of documentation about the family, their roots and their lives but also very good informative documentation about what happened in those years in general with timelines.
One of the best I saw so far.
You can see also farm buildings and animals but that was uninteresting as everything was closed - at least during the week now.

Traveling through and wanted to do something new. Never had any concerns about safety. All the folks we encountered did their best to create fun vibe. Despite having a fear of heights, after listening to our guides tell me that once I trust the gear the rest is easy. Even did the deadman flop and took the jump off tower 5 from the high step. So super cool! Don't let your fears take away opportunities. You won't regret your tour with Zip KC. Only complaint is that it went way too fast.

We met here with several family members from out of state during the Fourth of July weekend. None of us had ever been here, I saw this on their website. All of us... ages 3 to 74 were very surprised at this wonderful park. Lots of playground equipment, plenty of shade covered picnic tables, multiple charcoal grills, large, clean restrooms, well maintained paths. Clean, well groomed, ample parking. We will choose to meet here again!

The Arboretum has several different areas to relax and enjoy nature. We really enjoy the hiking trails in back. Trails of varying lengths wind through woods, along streams, beside cliffs. We've run into deer on the longer back trails. Highly recommended.

Ernie Miller has been here in Olathe for decades. It has gone through several renovations during that time, all of which have significantly improved it. In the Nature Center building, they have live animals and have recently opened a new exhibit room with hands-on exhibits. The biggest attraction for us is their system of trails, which range in difficulty from easy to moderate. Perfect for getting the kids out into nature (and adults too!).

The greater KC area finally has a world-class museum of automotive history. Not just a "car museum" with multiple vehicles, this one displays old cars along with great info about their place in local history. Unlike similar museums, this one is constantly changing, as the cars are privately owned by collectors, who volunteer their vehicles (and their time) to make the museum a success. One section is devoted to car clubs, and changes regularly. Another is devoted to race cars from the region. There is also an interactive area that features driving simulators.

Our family took a ride out to the park in July and made use of the swimming beach. The beach itself wasn't that great, as the heat of the summer sun heated the water so it was like bath water rather than refreshing; however, the lifeguards made our visit more than worthwhile, as they were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.

We have driven past this Vineyard for years and never visited. We had a guest from out of town who wanted to go "wine tasting", so we thought we would give it a try. We were greated by Tonya who had worked there for some time and really knew her inventory and was very helpful and pleasant as we asked questions during the tastings. We also met George, an owner who was willing to spend some time with us and answer all of our questions. They offer 6 wines for tasting for $6 and have a nice variety of wines. We will come back.
