In Ocean City, Maryland's only coastal community, the beach is the main attraction. Stroll the three-mile Boardwalk along the seafront while sampling salt water taffy and other old-fashioned treats. The summer season explodes with special concerts, beach bonfires and kids' activities. Nature enthusiasts will love nearby Assateague Island, home to deer and wild ponies. Once a tiny fishing village, it now spans 10 miles, but anglers still flock to the area waters; it's known as the White Marlin Capital of the World.

We decided to skip the beach for a bit and head out on a kayak excursion! We read that coastal kayak received good reviews on yelp and trip advisor so we decided to give it a try. Although we try to pick routes that will be sheltered from the wind sometimes the wind is still a challenge. Thanks again!

Has a super long dock on the bay where you can witness beautiful sunsets. Also in the December hosts the Winter Fest of Lights.

What can you say bad about a Beach? Ocean City has 10 miles of the most beautiful beach on the East Coast. From the inlet to the Delaware State line, there is no bad spot on this beach. Do a double treat go on the beach from the inlet to 27th Street and your also on the Boardwalk.

Very nice family friendly Beach at small State Park. Park features Atlantic Ocean access and large Beach area. Beach is very clean and has lifeguards. Park also features changing and shower area and a food concession stand. They also rent beach chairs and umbrellas. Only issue is during the summer months parking lot fills up early. I advise getting there before 11 a.m.

This place looked unpromising at first glance— it’s located just above a shell gift shop. You enter, walk to the back, head upstairs— and suddenly you’re in a world class collection of shipwreck artifacts— from coins to ship parts to instruments to old cobalt bottles to fabulous jewelry.
If you’re lucky enough to come when Dale is there you are in for a real treat. He is knowledgeable, kind, warm and can answer any questions— he’s been unearthing treasure since age 14.
The place is awesome. Great little gift shop— I was sorely tempted. Will return!!

My husband, daughters, parents, sister, nieces, and nephew visited Ocean City for Easter weekend (March 30-April 1, 2018). We enjoyed walking this boardwalk. It is very spacious and features many of the family/individually owned shops and restaurants that create a welcomed sense of nostalgia.
During our stay, we purchased funnel cakes, fried Oreos, and homemade lemonade. We ate at a restaurant and purchased a few clothing items and souvenirs. Bicyclists (individual and family), "trikers", skateboarders, and joggers had plenty of room (and in some cases, their own lanes). We never felt too crowded. There were plenty of benches for lined along the stretch where we stayed and well lit for nighttime/early morning use.
Only thing I'd say is that some of the shops were closed (whether for the holiday or permanently I'm not sure). I don't know if this was due to inability to pay rent/operate or some other issue, but some stretches appeared a little worn down for this reason.
Overall. we love Ocean City's boardwalk and beach so we plan to return soon!

The week we visited Fenwick Island was hot, so I had delayed our visit to Golf Down under until we reached the last day. I needn't have waited! There was a great ocean breeze until after noon when we finished our first round. Perfect timing for the free ice cream with playing all day! The second round our group of 6 broke in to two groups of three (good idea since it was so hot!), and while we enjoyed our second round, we were are thankful for the ice cold bottled water ($1 each) at the end. Just right!
Tips:
1. Military discount with ID
2. Go early, before noon.
A few stairs, not designed for strollers!
Restrooms available
cold drinks for sale
ice cream for sale
Every hole has a bench to sit on.
There are several places with full shade, two with extra large benches.

These donuts are unique in texture in that they have more of a cake consistency than dough. They are served warm and they are given a glaze at time of purchase which really soaks into the donut. Beyond the glaze you can add nuts, coconut, chocolate chips and more. They have many flavors and choices from which to choose. The biggest downfall is the price but they are worth a try. I wouldn't buy them often.
