Pere Marquette Park

Reviewed By Kaycee M - Michigan

I stayed for business in Muskegon in March 2017. After my classes, I decided to visit the park as I haven't seen this area of Lake Michigan. It was a very windy day, winds of over 80 MPH, which provided very cool waves. Even though it was freezing out I was able to watch from my vehicle men surfing and wind surfing, which I really enjoyed. It was really entertaining. Plus the sun setting behind the lighthouse was breath-taking.
The visit was free and no charge to park. Lots of people there, but plenty of parking. Overall really nice time, even in March.

Kangaroo Palace

Kangaroo palace is a locally owned and operated family entertainment and birthday party center. Our facility is filled with oversized inflatable obstacle course, slides, and bounce houses, as well as a treefort, teeter totter, arcade games and more! Parents are welcome to join in the fun, but a seating area and free wifi is provided for those just looking to observe. We have got something here for ALL ages! Socks are required for anyone looking to play OR observe. Don't forget your cameras or wireless devices!

The Kangaroo Palace is a place we like to take our grandchildren (5 & 8 years old) to run and bounce and slide on a nice variety of inflated equipment. $6.00 an hour per child brings us an hour of pleasure as we watch our kiddos laugh and play together, as well as with other young visitors on equipment that appears safe and well-maintained. It's a great place for birthday parties because there is a nice party room and the employees are pleasant and promote/monitor safe playing. While the optimum age of the players/bouncers is probably 3-13, I have seen young parents bouncing with their kiddos.
Whether the outdoor temperature is hot or cold, Kangaroo Palace is always a perfect climate for a safe and fun time for kids.

Grand Haven State Park

Reviewed By DDBjen - Grand Rapids, Michigan

The park has a great beach, very wide with plenty of room for all visitors. It has a large parking area, so we had no problem finding a spot. On holidays the lot is packed, but any other weekend is fine. We love the park because we can be at the beach or walk along the pier or along the channel boardwalk. The park has about nine or so beach-volleyball areas and a nice playground. A short 5 - 10 minute walk, and you’re in “downtown “ Grand Haven with many shops and restaurants. We lived in Grand Haven for seven years before moving about an hour away some years ago. Grand Haven is a wonderful family friendly town, perfect for a relaxing vacation. By the way, the State Park is good for the beach and related activities, as I mentioned, but it does not have hiking trails or woods or that type of scenery. It is a beach. And the sunsets are beautiful.

Craig's Cruisers Family Fun Center

Reviewed By NebraskaTravelBuddy - Omaha, Nebraska

Our family of four, including our teen son and daughter, had a great time here while on vacation in the area. Two hours was plenty of time to do what we wanted: bumper boats, go-karts, and putt-putt golf. My husband and I even did the eurobunji (not bad for two fortysomethings). We ended with a few games in the arcade - my picky husband even commented on the good selection of arcade games. The staff were friendly and helpful. The complex was clean and well-kept. We didn't eat there; we just had drinks and ice cream. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised with our experience.

My husband and I went on a tour of the submarine with one of the docents, and we still learned a lot even though we have been on a few other submarine tours. The tour lasted for about an hour, so go to the bathroom first and bring a bottle of water! Afterwards, we toured a Coast Guard boat on our own and then went to the museum. If you are interested in WWII, you will enjoy this museum. I especially like the very detailed timeline of the entire war.
