We recently moved to the area and had seen this beautiful church which reminded me of Notre Dame. We stopped on a Monday morning to walk through. While it isn't on the size scale of most Western European churches I've visited, it is equally impressive, especially the stained glass windows. We were surprised at what a phenomenally beautiful cathedral, which reminded us of Europe, could be found in Covington. It is indeed a treasure. The marble along with the intricate mosaics from Germany pair well with the Venetian glass and make this a must see if you are in Northern Kentucky.

WE'RE A NEW RIFF ON AN OLD TRADITION. ESTABLISHED 2014. Proud member of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail Craft Tour offering in depth tour, unique whiskey experiences, intimate cocktail bar, and exclusive Distillery Shop. Founded in 2014 by Ken Lewis, a visionary Kentucky liquor retailer and entrepreneur, New Riff is led by a team of corporate refugees ranging from craft beer to politics and more. New Riff crafts a range of whiskeys—Bourbon, Rye, and eventually Malted Rye and a host of specialty recipes—as well as Kentucky Wild Gin. Our mission is simple: to someday be counted among the world’s great small distilleries.
My wife and I took a tour recently and had a great time. Our tour guide, Grover, was very knowledgeable and had a wonderful personality. Having toured several distilleries on the Bourbon Trail, we were impressed by the things that made this new bourbon maker unique. We highly recommend you include New Riff when in the area, and if possible take one of Grover's tours.

Rated #1 U.S. Aquarium by Readers’ Choice Travel Awards and #1 Aquarium in the Midwest by Zagat Survey. Home to thousands of aquatic animals in scores of exhibits, the Newport Aquarium will amaze you with all there is to see and do. You can touch a penguin, pet a shark, hear divers talk to the audience during feeding time, play games in Frog Bog, eat lunch in Sharkey's Cafe and a much, much more!
All areas of this aquarium are very well done. Our ticket time was 9 am and we had reservations for the penguin experience at noon so we had plenty of time to explore. We really took our time and enjoyed the exhibits. It was nice being able to get in early before the crowds got heavier. I highly recommend doing the penguin experience. It was informative and fun to see/interact with the penguins in a small group. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The aquarium had some new projects underway, I am anxious to return soon.

A kitschy faux-German village in Covington with lots of restored 19th century shops, restaurants, and homes.
Mainstrasse Village is unbeatable for lunch, dinner, a snack or dessert. So many restaurants from cheap eats to formal dining. Cleaner and safer than anywhere in Cincinnati. Safe both day and night. Great area for bar hopping and enjoying happy hour or late night food and drinks. Variety is the spice of life, and MV has variety and quality. Can't say enough good about this area. Most shops do close early, even on weekends. If you are going for the shopping, plan to go early. Many nice, unique shops. If you are visiting downtown Cincinnati, skip the typical and overpriced restaurants and bars, and take a quick walk across the blue bridge or a five minute Uber/Lyft to Covington/Mainstrasse Village. Over-the-Rhine is dangerous and your safety and fun are worth the short trip across the river.

We went two days here on our visit to Florence. It was a great place to be. There are tons of stores, JCP, Macy’s, Spencer’s, shoe places, a candy store, putt putt glow golf, a relax table massage place, and a free play place for kids. The play place entertained my 6year old for a good 2 hours while the rest of the family went where they wanted. They have a carousel that is only $3, which is a decent price IMO. They have push carts for kids if you need them...mine wakes of course since he is 6. But, it was a good time all in all.
