Cloisters of the Monastery of Saint Bernard de Clairvaux

Also check reviews of "The Old Spanish Monastery" as this site is known. This is a contemplative and gorgeous setting with gardens and an amazingly completely reconstructed cloister of an 11th C monastery from Sacramenia, Spain. The original moanstery was occupied by Cistercian monks until the property was converted to a granary in 1830 during a period of political upheaval. Today, it is restored to its original splendor and totally worthy of a 'pilgrimage' by anyone interested in medieval architecture.

Have been coming here for many many years, on foot, by bike and by car. With sketch pad and with camera. In recent years for a relaxing stroll with my spouse to see the wild fauna and wild flora and take selfies. A photographers little paradise any time of the year away from the hussle and bussle of Aventura or the Beaches.
