Recently we did a group ride with 8 of us. I was very impressed with the safety briefing and care the leaders too. Each rider was paired with an appropriate horse. A friend of mine was visiting from Michigan and beach riding is on her bucket list so of course we had to go here at my suggestion.
This time it was just the 3 of us and we opted for the longer beach ride. Our guide was Matt, who was one of the multiple guides who had taken us out on my previous visit with a larger group. He is excellent and very, very good at analogies when explaining to less experienced riders how to do something. He clearly loves his job and is an experienced rider.
The trails are scenic however it is public land so there are walkers, runners and dog walkers which you will encounter. We did canter and trot multiple times, ( this will depend on your level of experience and what you discuss ahead of time), however note that you may be limited if there are a lot of other people on the trails. I do feel this is good though since it is a safety issue.
I would suggest bringing your own hunt cap if you have one so you don't have to use one that others have ( think bowling shoes. They are sanitized but public).
Safety is a priority here. If you do have to leave a message, they will call you back but it may take awhile.
I definitely will come here again should I want to go trail riding. Also, if you have your own horse and can trailer, this is a great place to ride in Goddard Park.

Always enjoy walking around this little town with it's shop and early colonial history. Besides the shops, be sure to check out the historic houses and churches, especially the Old Narragansett Church built in 1707 ( a little hard to find, located on a small back street ).

I have played at Warzone several times over the years and the field just keeps getting better and better. This year its under new management. The guys over at rhode island paintball & Airsoft and the hurricanes have partnered up to deliver an amazing woodsball field. The best part is they keep adding new bunkers and forts. This field is also byop, bring your own paint, or they have paint available down there. They also do all day compressed air and co2 fills. I strongly recommend this field.

Huge selection of all kinds of excellently cared-for perennials. However, be prepared to pay top dollar for the quality and selection. Sometimes, depending on who is available to answer questions, the sharing of plant expertise is gracious and helpful. At other times, questions are brushed aside brusquely.

Another great day filming with RI PBS's series Harvesting RI. Today Harvesting RI takes us to Ocean State Hops, Rhode Island's first commercial hop farm and the Tilted Barn. Where the co owner Matt Richardson is fueled by a passion to cram as many hops into each batch of beer as humanly possible. Over the years he has enjoyed supplying hops to local home brewers and breweries alike. Now he has expanded on this success and opened Tilted Barn Brewery, Rhode Island's first farm brewery.
