10 Things to do in Nolita That You Shouldn't Miss

September 14, 2021 Vivienne Hutton

Conquering New York in one visit is impossible. Instead, hit the must-sees – the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art – and then explore off the beaten path with visits to The Cloisters or one of the city’s libraries. Indulge in the bohemian shops of the West Village or the fine dining of the Upper West Side. The bustling marketplace inside of Grand Central Station gives you a literal taste of the best the city has to offer.

Me and my was at the Soho in NY. My daughter was looking for nice boots, so when we saw the store we entered in and my daughter tried some of the boots. The sales man and the owner of the store was very nice and help full. I very much recommend to go and see the store, and the beautiful boots and huts.

I love Little Moony. What a creative and interesting store with locally made American clothing, beautiful artisan toys and a nice selection of books. The clothing here is a standout as it is made by the owner's mother and the pieces are hand made and have the most original prints. They have the cutest assortment of jumpers, dresses and shirts. The toys here are very interesting and very interactive. It has a selection of local artists from New York making handmade toys for them. The service here is very friendly and professional and the owner herself likes to wait on her customers. She takes such pride in the store. The window displays are whimsical and interesting.

St. Patrick's Old Cathedral

Reviewed By ANewyorkguy - New York City, United States

This is the original St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City. Completely restored it has been given the nomenclature of Basilica. Truly a glorious church but it's not just the beautiful altar, Baptismal font or magnificent stained glass. The core of New York's Little Italy community of years gone by, it is also an historical edifice. In Martin Scorsese's home neighborhood you'll appreciate and you'll recognize the attached small cemetery where scenes from Mean Streets was filmed. Neighborhood has long since changed. It's now an upscale NYC community. Lots of boutiques throughout the area. They even have guided tours if you're interested. For me it was my neighborhood church, the place where my parents were married and I was baptized. For you it's a beautiful place to see, rich in history and culture
