Such a wonderful atmosphere. The moment I walked through the door I felt relaxed. The little shop is great for browsing and the massage left me so calm I just floated out onto King Street. Lucky its situated at the quiet end of King Street. All I can say is go there immediately!

An immersive and original vintage escape room in Sydney! With unique games filled with bespoke puzzles (we build everything ourselves by hand!), can you escape in time? Second location now open: 31-35 May Street, St Peters, NSW 2044
Cipher room is amazing! There is such a high attention to detail put into everything here, from the atmosphere they create with the lobby’s decor to the confirmation email to the design of the rooms themselves. We played the Cabin and it had such a great array of puzzles and the room felt real. Our game master Tom was so lovely and knowledgeable and spent so much time talking to us about the rooms after our game which was greatly appreciated. And we loved the system of getting a pin to say you completed the room! We will definitely be back to finish our collection ☺️

Great beers and laid back chilled out atmosphere. There are about 3 big dogs chilling with what seems to be the staff/ owners. I even had the first beer on the house for no apparent reason except “Welcome to Young Henrys”, how nice. Free wifi and water is available for self service as well. Beers come in smaller sizes, full pint and seems like tasting paddle is available as well. Closes at 7pm so do make a trip out to this part of town even if you don’t stay here. Part of the ale trail so pick up your trail map here.

This tranquil Church yard of St Stephens, Newtown is the last resting place of the early settlers of the city. The cemetery was founded in 1848 and was for twenty years the main general cemetery for Sydney, with the total number of burials being about 18,000. Many people who were important to the early history of colonial Australia are buried there, including those who perished in the wreck of the Dunbar. St Stephen's Cemetery is associated with several reputed ghosts and a murder. This is a very important historical place for the city.

New Theatre is about 85 years old, having been founded during the dark days of the Depression as an important community cultural initiative by left-leaning political groups. While times have changed, it remains true to the cause and ensures that its plays are all "with a purpose". The community of actors, directors, stage crew who support the theatre are all highly professional and committed to producing productions of a high standard. We saw an excellent production of The Lieutenant of Inishmore - a black comedy which was excellently done. It had been highly acclaimed and almost full every night. Seats are reasonably priced which attracts students to the theatre and the colourful neighbourhood. Well worth a visit for those who love theatre.

Following a challenging opening through covid restrictions we’ve finally secured a day to highlight the accomplishments of our awesome hospitality team by grabbing some putters and enjoying amazing food, drinks and service for 2 hours of genuine fun and banter with the HM team. From entry to fond farewell, 65 of us were taken care of beyond the level for which we hold ourselves to in our own venue. Fin, steph, Alexi, Kimi and the gracious gentleman at the front door, thanks for showing us that despite the challenges we face daily as our industry forges through the covid cloud, that the basics of great service, true hospitality and an all round awesome product are what we all look to for that experience that marks the occasion. Impressive team. Respect.
