An award-winning attraction offering an exciting and varied day out for the whole family. A Victorian coastal fortress housing exhibitions, displays and a program of special events. There is so much to see and do: stunning cliff-top views and on-site gift shop; experience the air-raid simulation, climb up the ramparts to see the breath-taking view across the English Channel, treat yourself to a delicious lunch in the cafe, or have fun in the adventure playground.

A memorial to the late, great Eazy-E, in the form of a bench.
Great tribute to Eazy-E, very moving and left very moved by Guy Stevens doing this for a great rapper!

I was expecting a small area in which my boy could see some plastic dinosaurs, and at £8 per head I was expecting to be disappointed. Far, far from it. The place is huge, with articulated, large dinosaurs a-plenty that actually move and roar on demand, with opening jaws and moving heads and even eyelids. But that’s not all, there’s various different play parks, walks, bridges, rope bridges, mini train rides, a covered sand pit, remote control boats, cars and even articulated lorries. That’s before you take into account the great cafe, large garden centre, tropical plants, an entire cactus building, Italian and Japanese gardens.... Did I mention the garden and house furniture shops?! It goes on and on. It’s a good day’s visit, not just for the kids, but us parents too!

Having probably done hundreds of channel crossings over the years, we have never done this route, very efficient and timely and much better value than Brittany Ferries.
