This is a catalogue order center for orchids. They offer tours of the greenhouses and a "taking care of orchids" workshop to the public.

Originally built in 1882 and recently renovated and reopened as of 1998, The Newberry Opera House is one of North America's premier historical theaters and performing arts venues. Since the renovation, Newberry Opera House has played host to a wide variety of events ranging from local and regional acts all the way to national touring companies. Its stage has been graced by many artists and entertainers who history now considers legendary.
Such an enjoyable evening. The performance was great for a small town theater. The downtown area has a host of restaurants and shops to browse before the performance.

A delight day trip for our first anniversary. Richard was kind enough to accommodate us on a Wednesday when we emailed our request just days before. We sampled a dozen wines and bought eight bottles for ourselves and friends.

Its a nice little square with a lot of dedications to veterans and other wars. I also believe there's a time capsule underneath one of the rocks.

I love old architecture and there a two great examples right in historic downtown Newbury. This building is well worth stopping by to see for yourself.

This place is incredibly beautiful and hard to believe it is nestled in Newberry and can easily be missed off the road. My husband and I had a wonderful hike with our dog and saw others on horses and hiking as well. My only complaint would be it is not clearly marked where to park and the sign off of highway is obscured with a lot of bushes. I look forward to going back this fall when the leaves are turning.
