Makes cheese throughout the day. Visitors can purchase over 200 varieties of cheese, sample cheese, purchase ice cream, see a short video on how cheese is made and oversee the production floor to see cheese being made. This is one of the best cheese factories in Wisconsin.
They don't take credit cards, so bring cash. They do have an ATM.
The kids will love to see how cheese is made.
They carry several varieties of summer sausage, bologna rings,
Beef sticks along with cheese.
My favorites are of course the squeaky cheese curds, baby Swiss, aged cheddar, almond Swiss spread, blue jack cheese, Colby jack, etc.
Prices are so reasonable!

The Alexander House features a permanent local museum, telling the story of Port Edwards and its paper mill, and associated concerns. It also contains changing exhibitions, featuring local and national artists working in a variety of different media. The curators do a very good job in finding unusual artists, for example, earlier this year, an artist who used wax paints was featured. This month there is a glass-blower and a painter. All the exhibits are beautifully hanged or staged, and any 2D art is carefully lit by state-of-the-art lighting. Add to this the friendly welcome you will get whenever you visit, and you have a great attraction!

Sand Valley is a place where massive, exposed sand dunes tower above you, where players walk, and where the fescue turf will play firm and fast. Situated on over 1700 acres of massive, tumbling sand dunes and unique heathland vegetation, Sand Valley will bring the drama and playing style of a seaside links to the heartland of America. Located near a small town named Rome in the heart of Wisconsin, Sand Valley is a short drive from cities like Chicago, Milwaukee, Madison, and Minneapolis but feels like a world on its own with little you'll see or hear on property that will remind you of the busy world you left behind. With tasteful, comfortable rooms and the stunning views they offer, you'll feel restored and rejuvenated by the scale of the property and the beauty it contains. With the first course, Sand Valley by Coore & Crenshaw to open in 2017 and a second course by David Kidd soon to follow, Sand Valley Golf Resort will soon host 2 world-class golf courses with lodging and amenities that offer relaxed comfort and excellent service. We cannot wait to have you join us and to experience the majestic, tumbling dunes of Sand Valley Golf Resort.
What a beautiful new golf resort located in the center of Wisconsin. A gorgeous brand new clubhouse and restaurant. Delicious dinner menu. Impeccable service with a smile! Comfy outdoor seating complete with a fire pit and lanterns. Started off with a custom cocktail- Gin and Tonic with lime wedge, orange wedge and rosemary sprig and a great Manhattan. We ordered the bone in filet with a delicious baked potato. The meal was accompanied by exquisite warm cheese bread and soft whipped butter. Though not a golfer, I wholeheartedly recommend having drinks and a meal!

Lake Arrowhead is located south of Wisconsin Rapids in a quiet, forested location. It's modest clubhouse does not suggest what you will find inside- excellent food and drinks, along with small town friendly service. The golf course (I prefer the original course) is interesting, well-designed and challenging. There are more than ample traps and beautifully maintained greens. On much of the course, you feel miles from civilization and it is not uncommon for deer or a fox to wander across the fairway. The ninth hole, working around a large lake, is beautiful, but requires precision shot-making. Greens fees are very much a bargain. If you are a golfer of any skill level, treat yourself to this little gem in Central Wisconsin- and stay for lunch.

The park is a nice park in the middle of town, down in a sort of "bar area" in older buildings. There are a number of events and picnics held there over the summer months. It's very well manicured, and the views of the river aren't too bad- granted all the industrial buildings on the opposite bank don't bother you. In fact, there's nothing inherently wrong with this park at all... save for one, shall we say, creepy tidbit.
For whatever reason, this park is a prime spot for all sorts of people to scatter their loved one's ashes. Now, I'm not one to criticize anyone's beliefs or anything like that, but I do find it rather unsettling that this is allowed in this public space to begin with, even while other events like the aforementioned picnic are underway. I don't know, it just doesn't feel right walking around in what I'd equate to a burial place, considering all the people that have done this over the years. In all other regards, this is a fine park, so if the aforementioned doesn't bother you, by all means check it out.

Take a chance at Lady Luck on more than 600 reel, video, progressive and jumbo slots from a nickel to five dollars a try.
A typical casino with the usual smoke filled gaming area. The Grille offers a decent array of tasty food options and a snack bar is also available. Special events are held outside periodically with ample parking available.

Learned a lot about the paper mill industry. Not only the history but about the tools used in the early days of the industry. What a shame the paper mill in Port Edwards closed!!! Such a tragic loss for the area.

Brings back memories from years back when this was the T.B. Scott Library. The location and building are picturesque. Flowers are well tended in the summer time. Lori is such a tremendous asset and help when you go there with questions. Plan to spend more time there this summer. There is much more to do and see there.

Includes inflatable aliens. From purple to green to blue, from 3 feet to 7 feet, they had us covered for all of our alien needs. The staff here are an amazing help, always able and willing to help you find either beef jerky or baby supplies. A Nekoosa staple, and some fun window shopping that shouldn’t be missed during your time here.

This was a great place to visit with our grandkids. There is also a park near by for them to play and have a picnic lunch.
