Staggs bar, officially The Volunteer Arms, has been owned and operated by the same family since 1858. It is a friendly local, famous for its many guest real ales and around 30 rums (including the original Sailor Jerry, sold on special occasions). There is a main bar with additional seating in a small lounge, a larger lounge and bar open on Friday and Saturday nights and a beer garden.
Best beer in Scotland always great selection of well kept real ales. Great atmosphere, great quality TV screens and top notch host.

17th century country house on the end of Edinburgh with 80 + acres of unique protected landscape. Also home to Weehailes, our new adventure play-park specially designed for younger children and themed around the Newhailes story. We’re currently undertaking an exciting conservation project to restore several areas of the highly significant 18th century designed landscape, including the flower garden, kitchen garden and formal lawns. Please note that as of February 2019 the stables courtyard and main house will be closed as we undergo building and conservation works to improve our facilities and protect our historic buildings. However Weehailes play-park, our outdoor diner and the wider estate are fully open and accessible.
This is a modern and exciting wooden playpen for kids. Plenty here for an hour of play snacks and another hour. All the things kids like zip wires tunnels clamber nets. A smaller toddler area. For parents it is fully enclosed, there is a toilet block with running water just adjacent, there is a pop up food van doing hot drinks, burgers (v), hot dogs, nachos, healthy grown up soup and amazing cake. You can eat at tables with umbrellas with excellent views of the playground. There is also an enclosed greenhouse you can eat in but you dont have views of the play area. It is spotless. If you bring your own food you can use tables just outside and come back in with hand stamp. We went by bus and had a lovely walk by the stream. Managed about 4 hours all in which was amazing vfm. Had 4-14 yo. To be fair 14 yo was really just entertaining the little ones but he enjoyed it nonetheless. If you join NTS you get repeat visits for free. Can't recommend enough.

Ive visited nearly every racecourse in the UK. I love the sport. Had my first visit to Musselburgh on Monday. One of the friendliest and well thought out racecourses I've visited. It's a 15 minutes taxi from Edinburgh. Our Uber cost £16. Im sure the train and bus are cheaper but why bother with the hassle. Whilst its a fairly compact and small racecourse. The whole place is modern, tidy and fresh. The staff are so friendly and helpful. We booked a table in the bistro restaurant downstairs. The menu, service, atmosphere, food and price was ALL excellent. Ok it wasn't an especially busy race meeting but my experience was wonderful. Even had a few winners! The high street is literally a 2 minute walk away, every thing you need is there before/after racing. Only slight negative is the bar area / any indoor area could do with a slight expansion.

A fantastic amount of fun! Experience the sensation as you bounce in a vast arena of interconnected trampolines. You can jump between trampolines, literally bounce off the walls and challenge others to a friendly game of trampoline dodgeball. If you are more daring, you can also try flying and flipping into the foam zone or trying out some new moves on the tumble tracks.
Fantastic time at JumpIn Musselburgh once again! The place is immaculate, super safe (both in terms of Covid and equipment) and instructions are clear and easy to follow. Lovely staff who were attentive and professional from start to finish, helpful and friendly and reassuringly keeping their distance and wearing masks. Great menu too, bacon roll was devoured in seconds! Easy contactless ordering and quick service. Brilliant place to bring your kids (and you!) a little bit of normality!

Used to visit here as a child back in the 60s. This very quaint harbour has not changed a bit albeit a lot busier. This areas is a must for bird watchers and the like due to the number of the speices in the area. Great views of Fife and Edinburgh from the harbour wall point.
