My enamel craft shop is located just in front of the 4 magnolias and the square-pool, where you will find the biggest concentration of Moissac restaurants and the Abbey of St Pierre entrance. I propose unique enameled-creations of jewels, decorative and colorful objects as enamel-painted canvas, little boxes, cups... ...and I like challenges: I can make your own pieces starting from your ideas, just ask me ! Also, i organize little workshops where you can make your own little piece of enamel with me. Visit or contact me for availabilities. Well, here is my invitation to discover a rare fire-craft, i would be delighted to present you my delicate and meticulous craft in that charming city.

L'abbaye de Moissac est un haut lieu de l'art roman, classée Monument Historique en 1840 et inscrit au patrimoine mondial de l'humanité par l'Unesco en 1998, au titre des chemins de Compostelle. The abbey of Moissac is a masterpiece of Romanesque art, classified at the French Historical Monuments since 1840 and World Heritage by Unesco since 1998 as part of the pilgrimage to Saint-James of Compostela
We visited the cloister on the last day of a week in which we viewed many beautiful examples of Romanesque tympanums and cloisters, in varying degrees of preservation- however they all paled in comparison to what is here in Moissac- the sheer amount of art to be taken in, and its amazing preservation. Do purchase the audio guide and use the legend to study every capital ( both available in English, and includes the church) If you are anywhere nearby, this is definitely worth the detour. It is Art History 101 come to life. We arrived 90 minutes before closing- if you are at all into this period of art and architecture I would allow at least two hours.

The Pont Canal is a bridge over the Tarn River. it dates from the time of Napoleon and carries canal boats over the Tarn into the port of Moissac. I had the pleasure of crossing it in a boat and lots of tourists were there to see us cross the river on a bridge in a boat. It is kind of a surreal experience to glide across seeing the river below you. If you happen to be in Moissac on a nice day, it is well worth walking up the canal and seeing the bridge and adjoining locks in action.
