Every neighborhood in San Francisco has its own personality, from the hippie chic of the Upper Haight to the hipster grit of the Mission. The Marina district boasts trendy bistros and postcard-perfect views of the Golden Gate Bridge, while Noe Valley offers quaint and quiet boutiques. Wave hello to the sea lions at Pier 39, and sample local cheese and charcuterie at the Ferry Building. Sit in on a yoga session in Dolores Park or marvel at the Dutch Windmill across from Ocean Beach.

SFFM is one of only five grower-owned wholesale flower market in the U.S. We are the one-stop floral source for Northern California. Over 50 individual vendors answer all your floral needs. Variety is what sets us apart from all others.
If you like flowers, treat yourself to this treasure. It's one of only a few large wholesale flower markets in the country, and is contained down the length and part of the width of a city block. It's spectacular! I've gone to this market for decades to buy flowers wholesale. Fortunately, part of the market stays open to the public after wholesale hours. There are many small businesses within the market, including local growers. Some specialize in particular flowers. Several supply houses offer the widest array of vases you may ever see. Packed carefully, you can put some in your carry-on luggage. I often travel with flowers, and never have a problem. If anything, the TSA employees compliment me on them. This market represents to me hard working entrepreneurs who care about their product. Flowers are a tough business, with I think not a big profit margin .. And now housing has encroached on this location. Very fortunately, a number of vendors have aligned and negotiated with the developer to retain the Flower Market on part of this site, even with housing and whatever else is planned. (They also fought hard for as smart of a development as they could get, and were successful in stopping an earlier, less conscious plan.) Bring cash .. don't add an unnecessary percentage to the vendors, many of whom may not take credit cards anyway. Enjoy the café and the snack bar at the corner too. This really is a special place that even a lot of locals have never seen. Because they aren't reading reviews like this on Trip Advisor!

A great corner bar, located South of Market at the corner of 7th and Brannan. Mars have two large outside patios. All food is sourced locally, organic where possible, most items prepared fresh in our own kitchen. We have a very friendly bar staff know for making great drinks. We are able to host private parties and events. In the summer, we have Sunday house music parties and Salsa dancing on the outside patio. People Love Mars Bar. We have been here a long time and treat everyone like family!
