We bought 2 bottles for 4 of us. Two snobs for the red and a gewürztraminer for the 2 rednecks. A cheese platter rounded out the experience. After a few photos in the vineyard we moved on, but we had GREAT fun,

Sannino Bella Vita Vineyard's winery & tasting room is situated on a 17 acre vineyard in the North Fork of Long Island NY. Our address is 1375 Peconic Lane, Peconic. Our tasting room & winery is located in an historic barn circa 1900's. This casual and rustic setting is a great place to start your wine appreciation. Through education and our hands on approach, is what makes our winery a perfect spot to enjoy on the wine trail. We have many Estate wines to choose from cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, White Merlot, and Chardonnay. Our tasting room is open Thursday-Monday see website for hours. Groups larger than 6 MUST make a reservation due to our limited space. Tours and Classes are also available. Please visit our web site for dates & times.
Great Vineyard off the beaten path away from commercialized Vineyards that lose intimacy and coziness. This place has great service and even better wine making tasting simple. All of the food options compliment the wine fantastically. Cheese platters, nut platters, and chocolate platters are perfect. The wine is the main ingredient to their charm and family style atmosphere. Vino from the heart is what you will get here..

This 32-acre vineyard and winery was established in 1980 and planted with the following varieties: Merlot, Chardonnay, Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Verdot.
I have to admit that I visited LI without having any knowledge of the vibrant wine industry here. Bedell Cellers was very welcoming and the young lady doing the pouring was super friendly and knowledgeable about the wine and the area.it seems to be the practice that if you purchase wine, the tasting fee is waived and that was the case here. The grounds are beautiful and the pavilion made me long for summer. One of the wines was half off, making a 70$ bottle of wine reasonably affordable. Since my goal has always been to find the best possible wine at the least possible price, I doubt I can accomplish that at any of the local vineyards. Still, a really fun stop.

Macari Vineyards & Winery, established in 1995, is family owned and operated with two tasting rooms and over 180 acres under vine. In the vineyard, the Macari family has strived to be on the cutting edge of viticulture, employing principles of environmentally friendly farming from the very beginning. Our Mattituck Tasting Room is open year round for winetastings. Wines are also available by the glass or bottle to enjoy in ourEstate Room or outside on our covered deck or picnic area. We offer cheeseplatters in season and light snacks are available in our gift shop.
This vineyard is located in an idyllic place, surrounded 360 degrees by vineyards. The Tasting room is housed in a new, modern building, with options to taste by the bar or sitting on a lovely terrace overlooking the vineyards. There are tables on the yard, next to the vineyards too, and Macari will organize group events and large group tastings. The Winery gift shop sells snacks, mostly chips and nuts, and next door you can purchase pizza, which is prepared fresh and can be enjoyed in the tasting area. Macari produces a number of white wines: Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and a white blend; it also makes a blended Rose and several reds: Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Merlot and several red blends. A sparkling wine and a couple of dessert wines complete the selection. We found the whites friendlier and more enjoyable than the reds, which while drinkable, are not competitive with those from the West Coast. This is a great place to spend a nice afternoon or to organize an event for the office or a group of friends.

Tucked away on the North Fork of Long Island's Bordelaise microclimate, this estate vineyard has fermented vintage after vintage of critically acclaimed wines.
I have been to almost every vineyards tour. This one exceeds in many ways. The history of vineyards on Long Island starts at this winery. You will hear the whole history. You also learn every step of winemaking in great detail. I learned quite a bit. After the tour take a tasting. If you love red wine they have Long Islands best reds here. You can sign up for tour on website.

This winery specializes in very dry, French-style wines with prices that reflect that. Was attracted by the name: "Clovis point" is term given to the stone spear points used by the Native American Paleo-hunters who lived in this region about 10,000 to 16,000 years ago. Apparently no such points were found on the winery property, but a site from that era is located nearby. In any case, the wine my friend and I tried on a Friday afternoon were very dry as expected, but not really to our liking, especially given the $30 to $40 a bottle price range.

Raphael is one of the loveliest wineries in Long Island. Located on the North Fork, the Tasting Room is in an artistic location, surrounded by the vineyard. Formal tours of the winery with tasting of several wines, or just tasting in a relaxing environment while enjoying a few snacks are all possibilities. Tasting can be indoors or on the lovely patio (weather permitting).
Raphael produces a few whites (Chardonnay, Riesling) and several reds (Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot, Petit Verdot) as well as a premium red blend (Primo). The winery hosts a number of musical events every months and is a perfect place for private events (weddings, anniversary celebrations, birthdays, etc.)

Set in the heart of the beautiful North Fork, the Mattituck Farm & Vineyard is a scenic country destination for pumpkin picking, fresh fruits & vegetables, fresh country foods, and award-winning wines!
I thought there was fruit picking here, but its only apple picking on the weekends. Came here on a sunny day. It's definitely perfect for a family gathering, especially for young children. There are plenty of things for them to do, too many to list here. It's definitely nice trip for the kids 3+ YO
