Been to thıs site twice , maybe I am being a bit unkind as İ have been used to flying PA28 but did go to see what this field was like , as usual OK in the summer , flooded sometimes in the winter , of course this is a grass runway but well away from houses not like the airport in Marmande where you fly in over the town .
İn Fourques they are very kind and helpful but have a limited selection of ULM available

aronne discovery centre in a small village near to the river. Boat trips, video shows, 3D movie.
3 rooms to discover the river Garonne and people living beside. Very well done, modern and informative. People welcoming you there are nice and helpful. Very enjoyable especially in summer time with a nice terrasse with a great view on the river.Thank you for your comment. Hope to see you again at Couthures. Gens de Garonne's team

Nous avons passé un bon moment . Le parcours n'est pas exceptionnel mais c'est rigolo de voir les animaux. Melly la jument est superbe ! La propriétaire est très sympathique.

Come and discover a park full of animals which is both original and family orientated. You will be able to have contact with the animals, there are also boucy Castles, a snack bar and a 30m zip wire. It is fun for bothadults and children.
My wife and I visited this park with our daughter and two grandchildren age 3 and 6. You can find it just off the D708 between Marmande and Duras but don’t put the address they give on their leaflet (47120 Caubon-Saint- Sauveur) in to your satnav or you will end up in the wrong place. Use Griffon and you should find it OK. It is a very new animal park and has ample parking, a small kiosk where you can buy cold drinks, ice creams, wine, beer and a small menu. There are some tables and chairs and nice clean toilets.
The main attraction is obviously the animals and there are some unusual breed sheep and goats, lamas, pigs, chickens, ponies and a donkey. We were there when the owner was milking some goats and invited anyone who wanted to take a turn doing the milking. Our 3 year old thought this was great fun. There is a small petting area where children can pet rabbits, ducks and goats.
In addition to the animals, there are two types of bouncy castle and an inflatable with plastic balls inside for kids to roll around in. There is a swing, seesaw and a 30 metre zip wire. When they had finished looking at the animals, the children spent quite a while playing on the bouncy Castles.
In total, we spent around 4 hours at the park and it was very popular with the grandchildren because the next morning when they woke up, they asked if we were going back again. We paid just over €30 for three adults and two children under 6, so for a half day entertainment, that is quite good. We would certainly recommend it for young children up to the age of about 10.

This park was a welcome break from a hectic week in and around Marmande. There are play areas and a skateboard park near the large free carpark (which is also handy for exploring the town), plus peaceful walks along the river Garonne. Take a picnic, or stroll back up to the square for a selection of cafés and restaurants.

A TOURIST OFFICE THAT'S WORTH A DETOUR A Tourist Office that's worth a detour The "vestibule" offers a fun, interactive, innovative presentation of the Val de Garonne with videos, photos, touch screen maps, Ipads ... Continue into the "lounge", a room for relaxing and discovering a variety of presentations... There is also a discovery space especially for children that revolves around sensory experiences. The next room that you come to as you explore the house is the "kitchen", this naturally offers some culinary experiences. The history of fruit and vegetables in the region, cooking recipes, an opportunity to see tomatoes under a microscope, and stories from people who are a part of the Val de Garonne... Reservation service (tickets, shows, tourist sites, accommodation etc.), advice for during your stay and souvenir shop. You can also slip out onto the "patio", the house's haven of peace. An area for rest and relaxation, you can connect to the Internet via the Tourist Office's Wi-Fi. The Shop Located in the house's kitchen, the shop contains a range of high quality items: Decoration, kitchen utensils, local specialities, gadgets, household linen, books... And during the end of year holiday season, a great selection of original gift ideas.

I enjoyed my stroll through Jardins de Beauchamp, which is connected to a nice nursery selling garden plants. But I found the 6 euro entry to be a bit expensive. There were no other visitors when I was there, so it was very peaceful. The Gardens are open all year long, but close for lunch.

Marmande, the prettiest of towns, and the start of our canal boat adventure. This little village is so quaint, and still has the charm associated with the french countryside that we all dream of. It is off the beaten track and benefits from that. Lovely place for lunch.
