A cave complete with rock formations and bats.
We love Florida Parks, we only camped one night but hope to return. The cave was wonderful, “V” was great and she loves showing visitors the formations and explaining them. We were lucky to go off season and be the only ones on the tour. Some folks may worry about bats, they have a very undeserved reputation. There were 2 teeny ones tucked into the ceiling sleeping, very cool to see!

Very nice place for the family to spend the day, picnic, swim relax. It has lifeguards, a diving board, a slide, a playground for the kids and covered picnic areas.

This is a beautiful trail, depending on the time of year and water levels it can get a lot of mosquito's though, so make sure you bring/wear bug repellent. According to local lore the bridge itself is haunted and you may see a female (Bellamy) ghost!!!

An absolutely beautiful example of late 1800's Victorian architecture, set on a historic corner in downtown Marianna. Unfortunately we didn't get to tour the inside; perhaps next time. The front of this beautiful "painted lady" is currently under construction. Thankfully her stunning columns and semi-circular veranda are getting so much needed attention and repairs.

I was in Marianna killing time while my daughter took the ACT and found this place by accident. It was a drizzly day, and I was the only person in the recreation area that I could tell so I'll tell you what I gleaned from the signs and the info I found later on the internet. It seems Jackson County is buying up plots of land around the Chipola River and creating The Chipola River Greenway. They have already purchased 5 large plots. The Hinson Recreation Area is at the Southern end of the Greenway. There's a long road that winds through meadows bordered by forestland. These would be good for biking, walking (you can bring leashed dogs), picnicking and more. The road culminates near an access point to the Chipola River. The Chipola is a pretty spring-fed river that runs through several parks in the area. They have built what looks like a 5 mile hiking trail that can be accessed at this point and edges along the river for a major portion of the hike (I didn't hike it on this trip, so I'm getting this info from the big trail map posted at the access point). It looks like there are abandoned railroad tracks, river views and caves along the trail. It also provides glimpses of wildlife. You can also launch a canoe or kayak from this point. I believe they are working on connecting trails to other ones and creating a canoe trail to other parks in the area. There are some picnic tables available. The area is just outside of downtown Marianna - an historic old Southern town with a few antebellum homes and other recreation activities like Blue Springs and Marianna Caverns. There is no fee, but they ask for donations upon entry.

Went with a few friends floating down the river. Even though there weren't really any rapids, we still had a great time. Just be careful because some of the rocks are closer then they appear. Should take about 3-4 to get down river.

I live in the area. The Episcopal Church pictured was burned during the battle but a union officer went into the burning church and saved the Bible from destruction. The Bible is on display in the church and there are many Civil War and earlier graves around the church.

Played this course in December 2012 on my way to Orlando & Fort Myers. I was very pleased with the course and the price was very reasonable. It was a very nice course to play and the staff was very nice. Would play again if in the area.

Amazing customer service and a huge selection of frames. I love all of the custom work I've seen, and the affordable options for diplomas or professional certificates are great!

My husband and I love to golf. We enjoyed the challenge of the elevated greens. Some of the greens weren't in very good shape, which made them exceptionally challenging, but they are working on them. A great value for this 9 hole course. The staff is wonderful!
