Over 15 million gallons of water bubble daily into Budapest's 118 springs and boreholes. The city of spas offers an astounding array of baths, from the sparkling Gellert Baths to the vast 1913 neo-baroque Szechenyi Spa to Rudas Spa, a dramatic 16th-century Turkish pool with original Ottoman architecture. The "Queen of the Danube" is also steeped in history, culture and natural beauty. Get your camera ready for the Roman ruins of the Aquincum Museum, Heroes' Square and Statue Park, and the 300-foot dome of St. Stephen's Basilica.

Great fun on Margit Island! We rented these fat tire electric scooters on Margit Island for one hour! It was great fun and all the three of us enjoyed it 100% Plenty of roads to explore on the island during one hour especially the Buda side of the Island where there is a long stretch of road on the coast of the Island. After I little bit more than one hour one of the batteries died, but the staff (Flora) was kind and rescued us with another scooter that we could change to! So if you want an hour of really great fun in Budapest, I recommend you to rent these scooters!

Quiet walkways, flower gardens, romantic ruins and century-old trees make up this popular recreation spot located in the heart of Budapest.
Great place to visit and relax for a couple of hours there are all sorts of bikes for hire to cruise around the island and a couple of interesting sites including a musical fountain that plays every hour.

A wonderful day out. Great for kids and adults. Spotlessly clean , food good and reasonable prices for a pool- very honest staff- we lost a kindle and headphones there through our own fault, and had them returned after several days. In my m=ind much better than the other baths.,

Highlight of our third day in Budapest. Fabulous waterworks with a large fountain shooting jets of water some 30 feet into the air and many smaller fountains forming intricate patterns. Other jets fire spurts of water with a cracking sound, which caused the pigeons to panic. This great water show is accompanied by music - predominantly Strauss at the time of our visit. We had wandered the island from end to end, and were rather disappointed, until we came across this magnificent fountain. We spent an enjoyable hour listening to the music and watching the fantastic waterworks programme. Well worth visiting this island just for this brilliant fountain!

While only small, it was a pleasure to walk around as there is no entry fee. There are 4 Welsh pony's that are more than happy to be stroked. And you can have a short ride on one for only 500 Huf. Hundreds of ducks, birds and chickens. Plenty of Deer, that have plenty of grazing room. There are Storks gathered around a giant tree stump with Rabbits usually fast asleep at the base. There is also a conservation are for numerous Buzzards and Eagles that if out in the wild, would not survive. The vets here managed to save their lives and they now live here safe. Unfortunately, the area doesn't recieve any funding from the government and so they have a board just outside the eagle part showing details of how you can help by donating. Rather heart warming to see how well looked after all the animals seem to be, and also to see so many beautiful birds being protected for the rest of their lives.

Visited Margit-sziget Water Tower whilst on Margaret Island. Great place to take photos. AVOID Elektromosauto kolcsonzes hire desk the bloke there today (20/03/19) was a conman. The total hire charge came to 12,400 fln, I handed him 15,000 he offered me no change, when questioned he gave me 300fln. Hang on I gave you 15,000 this should be 3000 not 300. Reluctantly he gave me the 3000. He was praying for the ignorance of the currency. It didn't work
