Skyview Skateshop, founded in western Kentucky in 2017, is skater owned and operated. We strive to provide an alternative to mall chain bulls**t and believe core shops should be a labor of love instead of a passion for profits.

An escape room venue where guests are immersed in themed scenarios. Groups attempt to solve puzzles and/or riddles using hints and clues in the rooms. It's fun for all ages to work together!
We’ve been all over the Southwest and seen some very detailed and fun escapes but this one is the best we’ve ever done! If you are any where near Madisonville, Kentucky (Anton specifically) you’ve got to gather a few friends and do this!!

Walk Madisonville! is a brochure containing three walking routes in the downtown area. The walks, the Art Walk, the History Walk, and the Patriotic Walk, highlight the area and encourage walking for health benefits. Each walk is approximately 2 miles and loop so walkers can begin and end at any point on the map. Brochures are available at the Hopkins County Tourist and Convention Commission and online at https://tinyurl.com/walkmadisonville

I like the hiking trails to relax, and there is a quiet spot near the lake and the clubhouse where I have attended outdoor weddings, sat and watched the geese, and listened to bird calls. I have historical meetings near Christmas there and the clubhouse is handy, large enough, with kitchen facilities for potlucks and has clean restrooms.

The life and times of the governor of Kentucky from 1931 to 1935 is chronicled at this special-interest museum.
The cabin was moved as Ruby Laffoon's birthplace to the Historical Society site at great effort by the Society to honor the Governor born in Madisonville who was a rival to Happy Chandler and got the TB Hospital built locally. It shows how life was when he was a boy. There is even a cabinet built from the wood of a tree that grew at his place. You can see his photos above the mantle.

I walk the wellness park and do Tai Chi under the tall trees near the west end so I can hear the wind chimes at the pond in the wind and the laughter of children playing on the playground set while relaxing in the shade of those trees. You can visit stations with different exercises along the way clearly marked and have a moment with nature to restore yourself.
