Located in Madison, Ohio about an hour east of Cleveland, Debonne Vineyards is now the largest estate winery in Ohio, boasting over 175 acres of vines. Debonne Vineyards central location in the Grand River Valley wine region benefits from a climate moderated by the thermal effects of eastern Lake Erie. Our family commitment to excellence begins in the vineyards and is reflected in the quality of our premium Debonne Vineyards varietals and the original Chalet Debonne blends. Debonne Vineyards is also the first Ohio winery to open up a micro-brewery, Cellar Rats Brewery.
Debonne was our first stop of the day and it didn't disappoint. Staff was friendly, wine (and beer) selection was great. It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon and the place was hopping. Wedding reception, live band, food being grilled outside and a craft fair all happening at the same time. We didn't bring our kids but I think you could if they would be happy running around outside.

Great live music and fantastic food. Well ran and clean! Beautiful patio and shelters for sun. Pizza's were great with our wine samplers

A quick stop on our way to drop our daughter off at college, we wanted to get out of the car for a few minutes and stretch our legs. We followed the signs to the Breakwater Beach area and found a beautiful beach at the end of the parking lot. It was early on Saturday morning and at the end of the season, so the beach was pretty empty. It's a rocky beach, but nice to walk on. The bathhouse/restrooms were really clean. We were glad that we stopped by.

Beautiful relaxing scenery. Canoes launch from here, fishing by the damn. Autumn is amazing to see at this place. Covered bridge over the Grand River, one side has as play set for kids and both sides have picnic tables available. Beautiful place to take pictures with the bridge as a backdrop any time of the year.

Savor the Scenery, and Relish the Ambiance, but Weather the Wine. The entry into Laurentia through a picturesque archway onto a winding gravel road that meanders amidst a stately forest prepares you for the voila moment, the scenic chateau situated atop a rise overlooking a glistening pond and classic green-netted grape vineyards. Bravo! Perfecto! Savor the scene outside! Relish the ski lodge ambiance within! Gaze at these poetic settings and your beloved companion through the crystalline lens of shapely stemware as you sip on your respective spirits. But please prepare yourself for the otherwise disappointing reality that the wines themselves are very mundane. They are rather pricey and served pretentiously presumably to convince the uninitiated that the bottled vintages warrant the dramatic entry and poetic presentation. They don't. Nevertheless, Laurentia was worth the visit, if only to savor and relish that memorable presentation.

We were there on a weekday. Because they weren't very busy we got excellent one on one care. The gentleman that took care of us explained the wines completely. He listened to what we liked and then suggested some wines for us to taste. We ended up walking out with a full case. I am enjoying the wine that we selected. I will revisit again when I'm in the area

Situated on the southern shore of Lake Erie, our Ohio winery offers fine wines in a spectacular setting. Spend a summer afternoon or evening sampling The Lakehouse Inn wines and enjoying an array of light meal choices, while absorbing the fabulous views of Lake Erie and Mother Nature's breathtaking sunsets. During the fall and winter months, the winery is moved to the restaurant, Crosswinds Grille, to allow for additional seating. Guests may enjoy wine and meals from the bar or a table overlooking Lake Erie.
The Lakehouse Inn and Winery sits above Lake Erie with beautiful views of the water. Dinner on the outside patio/deck, was terrific. The servers, Jennifer and Brittany, were wonderful, very upbeat and friendly. Reasonably priced, the food was great. Fried perch was fresh and crispy, the wine was well made and quite good. Great choice for lakeside dining in a casual atmosphere with beautiful sunsets.

This was the first stop in our wine trip to geneva and we weren't disappointed. Loved the atmosphere inside and the wines were good. This is a newer winery and we were glad to see that they offer small plates to go along with their great wines

One of the best wineries in Madison!
We were on a wine tasting tour with friends and made this our last stop so we could have dinner there. The wine was good, the food was good and the waitress was the greatest! We had reservations and arrived at least half an hour early and they had no problem seating us which was a plus. The atmosphere was great, not too loud and the band that came on sounded good. I would definitely recommend on a wine tour.

The Spa at The Lakehouse Inn offers a relaxing resort-like environment that allows you to step away from your hectic life. From massages to facials to pedicures, our spa offers an experience that will leave you feeling renewed and rejuvenated!
I received a massage/facial combination and a pedicure. They were both really great. The massage/facial was probably one of the best that I have received. I do get massages regularly and I was very pleased. The massage therapist was very in tuned with what I needed. The extras like the aroma, warm towels, etc enhanced the experience . Then we got to top it off with a lunch on the patio. Everyone there was very welcoming and professional. I would definitely return.
