Had time to kill before a flight so thought I would do lunch and a movie. The concept rocks - but like most things it will be the people that ruin it. Didn’t open the theater on time. I was second person in, but because my seat was in the last row I was the last to be asked for my order and oh by the way the kitchen is behind 35-40 minutes. When I expressed my concern the staff then treated me like I was the problem. The last straw was when they guy delivered my popcorn and just plopped it on the table and walked away. I won’t be back.

Love this trail - walking, biking.....feels like you are out in nature, though you are walking through developments. Easy to get to.

Winery Tasting Room
We happened upon this little tasting room while looking for something to do in the area this past weekend. The $5 tasting fee is reasonable for a large tasting of several varietals, and the staff was pleasant and the atmosphere was nice for the quaint space at a single counter. There is a little restaurant on premises, as well as a small nursery and gift shop. It was an extremely hot day, so we didn't really get to enjoy the outdoor areas. We will plan on a return visit when the weather is cooler and we can enjoy the outside patio area with Friday night music with local groups.

This pleasant neighborhood has nice shops and fun antiques.
Shops, restaurants, historic buildings and local museums nearby...don’t forget to take your picture in front of the giant gold miner statue! If street parking is tough, try the parking lot on the way up the hill towards the old court house building. The back street behind the ale house along the creek there is a historical marker for the first brewery in the area...a nice short walk for a break

Thunder Valley is one of the largest casinos in California, certainly one of the busiest. My wife and I are an Asian couple and its very hard to find someone who is Asian in this Casino. When you ask for a Casino Host to help you find your wife, they reply they can't.
My wife is 5 ft . 3inches tall and this fits so many people in the Casino. I realize they were extremely busy during this period. I looked all over, outside and inside and finally told a Casino Supervisor this is now an emergency, I need help finding my wife, she replied she would help me.
This all started when I went to the ATM machine and couldn't find my way back to my wife. I have medical problems and cannot walk too long, etc. A supervisor finally helped me locate my wife. I hope in the future, there will be an easier way to find someone who is playing slots at Thunder Valley. I was so tired of walking around looking for my wife that after resting a few minutes, we went home. l didn't even use the money that I took out of the ATM to gamble. We generally have a great time gambling.

Spent a Sunday afternoon enjoying Rock Hill's Winery food and wine pairing event. Don, the Owner hosts the event and his wife prepares the small plate wine pairings. It was a nice couple of hours enjoying friends and learning about a local winery.

I know. Your thinking......"Really, a Granite Quarry??!!" But don't be fooled. This is one of the funnest "quick-trip" museums you will visit. The towns in the area are famous for their exquisite granite and many of the nicer historic building in Sacramento and San Francisco were built with granite from these quarries. There are remnants of some of the quarries buildings and the managers office is a small museum. You take a small hike around the tailings of the quarry and are provided with some great views of the foothills. The quarry itself is a large pit in the ground but it is fun to explore and there IS a cave if the water is low enough to visit it. Young kids will enjoy the hiking around exploring in between the rocks and it is not so big an area that you get worn out too quickly. If you need a place to stop for a few minutes while traveling up I-80, dont miss this!!

The Trove has been an institution in Roseville for a number of years, and it's always an interesting place to wander around. It doesn't have exclusively true antiques any more, it's more collectibles, and much of what's offered appears to have been rounded up at yard sales. That doesn't mean it's junk, but the vast majority of what's on offer is not rare or really old. The items that I personally collect (American Art Pottery and various US produced glass) are difficult to find here anymore, and if they do appear they're usually overpriced by quite a bit. I sure wouldn't say this is a bargain hunter's paradise, but there are some unusual things including in the outdoor area where good buys can be found on old lawn furniture and larger items like fence gates and trellis and lawn furniture made of metal. Our last purchase here was a white metal lawn chair that weighs about 100 lbs. and still graces the entry patio at our home. If you want to kill a little time this is a good place to do it.

This 18-hole, par 72 championship golf course measures 7,079 yards and features an old granite quarry (now a lake) as its centerpiece.
Good course several blind shots and lots of trees. Greens are true and in great shape. Overall course was maintained, a little congrats in terms of pace of play. Will go back and recommend the track.
