This park offers visitors seven miles of beach, two swimming pools, a boardwalk and games.
First, be prepared for high tide. Our beach towels and chairs were soaked around 12:30pm even though it was far behind waterline in the morning.
Other than our tidal happening, the beach is great. Very good quality sand quite environment. I like the idea of no amplified sound rule.
We used a concession at the field 6 and the food is good.

This is a very long sands beach. Lots of bird life and I'm sure lots of people in the summer. In September after Labor Day it is not deserve it but it's certainly is not crowded. We basically had Beach to ourselves. Very clean. Warm water.

Located just west of Jones Beach, my family and I love taking advantage of this Town of Hempstead beach that allows town residents parking for $10(non town residents pay $25). The beach is much smaller than Jones Beach, but you don't have to walk the marathon from the parking lot to the beach once you park. The downsides of this park is that there is currently no concession stand (so you must bring a cooler with snacks and food, a small price to pay for this convenient beach) and there is currently only one set of bathrooms until the town repairs the facilities on the west side of the beach.

Wow,things are getting worse everytime you visit this place. More restaurants are closing down, and the envirement is getting so unsafe its not funny. You use to feel safe taking your baby for a walk down the street, but i would never do that now.The quality of these restaurants are terrible, and half of them cut down a side,so now its just your meat and one side dish for all the money your spending. From now on i will go to point lookout, its such a cute town, they have great restaurants, and you feel safe walking at all times of night.Lots of people in the town ride bikes instead of taking their cars because its such a small town.Maybe i will come to the mile for a drink and in certain areas only

This is a great fitness club located in East Rockaway. Well worth your trip to experience this gem. Everything is new and clean....basketball court, steam room, spinning while watching a movie, yoga and much more. The locker rooms are very nice with excellent shower facilities.

My husband and I took our daughter and granddaughter to dinner. The ambiance was very good. We were able to talk and enjoy the meal. The service was excellent. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. I had the liver and bacon and onions......I almost never find this dish on the menu....so I ordered it. It was deliciously perfect! We did not have dessert. I recommend this restaurant for pub type food!

Offers a variety of things. There is a kids animal farm, there are walking trails of various lengths and difficulty. If you take the one to the top of the grounds you can see the a joining 9 hole golf course which has been greatly improved, the surrounding ocean and the skyline of Manhattan. You can also fish off the pier.

I recently visited the Andrew J. Parise Park in Cedarhurst, NY to take professional photography headshots. The weather was a bit on the cold side, but the sun was bright outside. The Andrew J. Parise Park was a nice, small and quiet park with a several memorial statues such as September 11th, a gazebo, a water foundation (off for the season) and open park. Although the park is open space, it is surrounded by quiet neighborhood homes in a predominated Jewish community. We enjoyed the scenery with families walking by with children, kids playing in the park with their dogs, minimal car traffic and occasional Long Island Rail Road trains stopping at the Cedarhurst station. I certainly want to come back during the warmer weather when flowers and trees look plush and the sun provides more warmth.

In an old warehouse pops up a craft brewery, spinning vinyl and serving up some really good brews in a local setting. The food truck outside gives you a chance for a good bite to eat while enjoying this weeks selection from the brewmaster.
