Arrowhead Spring Vineyards

Arrowhead Spring Vineyards is a "Wine Lover's Winery". Our winery focuses on traditionally made, dry wines that are barrel aged 1-2 years. We grow Chardonnay, Merlot, Syrah, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc. Groups: We can accommodate up to 6 people at a table on a first come-first served basis. We have a very large space with many tables distanced appropriately inside and outdoors for a relaxing experience. Bus and limousine groups: We recognize that bus and limousine companies provide a vital service for those who can’t drive. At Arrowhead, we will accept bus and limousine groups of 6 people or less per vehicle. Bus and Limousine services differ from other car services in that they allow drinking inside the vehicle. We will not accept any group that is drinking on their bus or limousine – If your bus/limo is a party bus, please do not visit here. There are plenty of wineries that specialize in accommodating party groups – we are just not one of them.

On a road trip up to Niagara was just able to run in before closing to grab a few bottles. The staff (I believe the owners) were so friendly! The decor and setup is absolutely adorable and it's very open, super clean, and set up well to allow social distancing. Getting to the best part...the wines! Ice wine isn't really my thing but theirs is interestingly tasty. Absolutely LOVE the Cool Terroir. I plan to order a few more bottles and make a dedicated trip back to enjoy a full tasting.

The Erie Canal Discovery Center

Reviewed By rccnh - Hampton, United States

Returning from a recent trip to Mid-West, and being a history buff, decided to checkout this place to hear more about the Erie Canal. Fantastic!! It is a small museum, and centers on the history of how the building of the Erie Canal created the town of Lockport and the building of the five locks there. But don’t think it is just about Lockport. It is about the construction of the canal. We met Rick there who was on duty for the museum who gave us an overview of things then paid a small admission fee and went upstairs to where there is a interactive movie about the building of the canal and other exhibits. For a small museum, it packs a punch. We spent about an hour there, then walked maybe 100 yards to where a set of locks had been built and had been highlighted at the museum. You get to see the original 5 locks since decommissioned and replaced with 2 new locks. Would have been great to see a boat go through the locks, but that is just a matter of chance. If you want to hear about the building of the canal I highly recommend.

SPRING LAKE WINERY offers some great, well maintained hiking trails. Apparently, they are open to the public, even if you do not go into the winery and/or buy wine. I call this GOOD (potential) CUSTOMER SERVICE. Next time I go, I will go into the winery and maybe purchase a bottle of wine.
