We went to see the Christmas lights. OK for a small town display but since we were there during the weekdays nothing special was going on. Even the "craft village" was closed and the carillon has been off due to electrical problems for months. So the only thing to do was go visit the museum which has about a dozen dioramas depicting Foster's songs and I must say I was impressed with the attention to detail in them.

Hike, camp, fish, picnic, enjoy. Pine warblers were everywhere on Saturday. Very busy here. Nice to see so many tents and kayaks. From the overlook, you can see where the Suwannee and the Withlacoochee River join. Lots of history. Remnants of an old paddle wheel shaft from a 19th century steamboat.

First went to SOSMP a few years ago for a music festival and loved the natural ambiance of the place. It's a beautiful tree covered park on the Suwannee River. There are many scheduled festivals throughout the year and everyone who comes there becomes enchanted with the wooded seclusion, the swimming in the Suwannee River, and the congenial and friendly community that is often in residence. The park owners do a great job of making everyone feel welcome and comfortable. Certainly one of my favorite destinations for camping and enjoying the outdoors during a music festival, i go about 4 times a year.

A little slice of wilderness, and like so many Florida Parks, an amazing experience. I have been coming here to cave dive for more than 20 years, and still find it facinating. The hiking trails are tough, not for elevation changes, there are none, but these are not highly groomed trails to walk in a pair of dress shoes and tweed jacket. Dressed appropriately, and with a little bug repellant this is a beautiful way to spen a day above or below the water.

This is the second time I've used this outfitter to kayak on the Suwanee River. John and Tricia are wonderful! They're friendly, on time, concerned with their customers' safety and comfort, and go out of their way to be helpful.
One of the women in our group fell sick near the end of our second day on the river. When Tricia picked us up she said there was a gas station near by where we could get ice and cold drinks. She also drove us back to our BandB so we wouldn't have to walk at the end of the day. We were so tired her kindness was greatly appreciated.

We used this company to shuttle my buddy and I with our own kayaks upriver. Simple and efficient, we were able to put in quickly. They gave good and accurate assessment of the river conditions. We'll use them again.

Gan Eden Farms offers tours of our sustainable farm. We are open 9-5 Monday through Saturday. We grow a variety of crops for farmers markets and we have goats, chickens, cows, and dogs to interact with in a family friendly setting.
Each visit creates new excitement, as this rapidly developing working farm keeps changing. The many new baby goats (kids) are especially smile and laugh out loud funny. There also are geese, loud peacocks and guineas, chickens that taste far better than anything at the supermarket...MoreThanks so much! Come back any time.

Mystic Jungle Educational Facility is a 501(c)3 non profit that provides life time homes to many displaced exotic animals. We are their final home. We are not open to the public but rather do tours by reservation, capping the guests at 25 or less at a time. This not only enhances your visit but also allows the animals to be more engaging as they are not overwhelmed by large crowds. We usually run our free tours once a month on Sunday afternoons and announce it via our Facebook Fan page. Private tours are generally scheduled on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. For those that cannot fit their schedule into that time free we do offer private guided tours at a fee.
Tucked away down an unassuming dirt drive, is a unique home to a menagerie of exotic animals. Tigers, leopards, tropical birds, and one of most friendly geese you will ever encounter are just a few of the creatures that call this sanctuary home. While visitors may see the educational facility as a scaled down zoo, the truth is that for these animals, this is a second chance. For many it was their only chance.

Dive Outpost is a cave diving shop. We fill tanks, sell and rent SCUBA gear and we rent out rooms and have 24/7 access to a shared kitchen. We are just down the street from Wes Skiles Peacock State Park.
Spent 4 nights at the Dive Outpost cave diving and visiting the local springs. It's a great place to stay (cheap and functional) and the owner, Cathy Lesh, can give you the local read-out on where to go.

Visited this farm while travelling from Orlando to Atlanta, took a detour but it was worth visiting. farm was small but beautiful. We went there for blue berry picking. They got black berry picking as well but we went in the afternoon, so black berry picking was over.
Scott and Billie are very nice and friendly.
