In the heart of the Spa forest and on the edge of the Fagne de Malchamps, the Domaine of Bérinzenne offers spaces freely accessible to the public: panoramic tower, park with pond and picnic areas. The Museum of Forest and Water “P.Noé” presents the natural environments of the region thanks to an innovative scenography. (Closed on Mondays) A starting point for many walks, the Maison de la Nature has a shop, a cafeteria and a multipurpose room for conferences and temporary exhibitions. (Closed on weekends and public holidays)
This nature area borders the ‘Fagne de Malchamps’ nature area. We wanted hiking and did the yellow trail, which is 5km. This is well indicated and took us more than an hour; we did not go into the tower. For me the area was a surprise. I always associated the Ardennes region with hills. Seeing the plains was magnificent and reminded me of watching the endless Serengeti.

A fine arts museum and a centre for international exhibitions, in partnership with the Louvre.
A very nice museum about the history of Liège and a special exhibition of a Liège born artist Mady Adrien with fantastic funny sculptures

A hidden Belgium gem - great place if you like nature, hiking and disconnecting for a couple of hours. And not even a long drive from Brussels. There are various hiking routes, very well singled. We did one with a medium length/ difficulty level and it was perfect (around 6 hours of peace, not very challenging climb, and beautiful scenery). Make sure you bring water, good shoes and energy. Parking is not ideal (pretty small, it was already fool on a Sunday morning), but you can find something around.

My husband and I were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this museum. We even lucked out with free admission since it was the first Sunday of the month! This museum features tons of guns across the ages - from the 1500s to today. Everything from ornately carved rifles from royalty to the huge Desert Eagle. The displays were all labeled in French and in perfect English. They describe how the weapons work, how they evolved, and the advantages/disadvantages of each. It was very informative but not overwhelming. Everything is in amazing condition! My husband follows the online series, "Forgotten Weapons" and was thrilled so many unique weapons featured on the show, in person! The museum is housed in an old building that houses other museums. There were clean, free restrooms, lockers, a gift shop, and a restaurant.

This ultramodern train station definitely worths a visit, even if you won't come to Liége by train. It's an architectural masterpiece authored by Santiago Calatrava that also creates the desire of visiting his hometown, Valencia, another medieval town like Liége, perhaps even prettier.

The whole race weekend is great. Well policed by Security and the Police. Food and drink for the ordinary public is Basic but very nice "if a little expensive". Toilet facilities are basic as well but clean and maintained to a high standard. The F1 concession stands are a well stocked with quality product and friendly staff. It can be a bit of a trek to get to different parts of the track, so get there early.
