Craft Axe Throwing – Lexington is a game that anyone can play (and win). Score points by throwing axes at a giant dartboard-like target. The closer you get to the bullseye, the more points earned. We conduct casual and competitive axe throwing events for social, corporate, and league groups. All of our events are staffed with trained instructors, helping groups nail the bullseye.
Always an awesome family fun trip. Friendly staff and great drinks! A very unique way to spend an outing rather then just getting a bite to eat.

The Lexington County Museum, located in downtown Lexington, offers a rare and unforgettable experience – the chance to see and touch a way of life gone forever. The Museum interprets and exhibits historic structures and artifacts that tell the story of everyday life for Lexington County citizens in the colonial and antebellum period and contains many everyday items people used in the 18th and 19th centuries. The Museum features over 30 historic structures on seven acres. Some of these include the Leaphart/Harman house, built around 1790; the Corley Cabin, the oldest documented building in Lexington; the Ernest Hazelius House, where the traditional song "Give Me That Old Time Religion" was composed, and the two story-John Fox House, built in 1832. Originally built by Jesse Bates, John Fox, a wealthy planter and politician, bought the house in 1843. Currently, it is furnished with period pieces from Lexington County that show how an upper class home would have been decorated around the mid-nineteenth century. The Museum serves as an invaluable educational tool by promoting the county's history and attracting school groups. The Museum offers thirteen hands-on tours to school groups for free.
Extremely impressive collection of buildings and artifacts. Two fully furnished period Antebellum homes. Again beautiful period furniture in each. The Fox House, one of main homes on site houses one of largest quilt collections in Southeast. Extremely knowledgeable guides token cost for tour. Have lived in SC 40+s years and have never found a better historical display of 1800 - 1860 homes, work buildings and artifacts.

Dreher Shoals Dam walk, also referred to by the local folk as Lake Murray Dam, is where you go to breathe in deeply, filling your lungs with fresh air and a brand new beginning. It cost little to nothing (a couple of dollars to park in the well maintained parking lot). There are picnic tables and grills for those who want to enjoy the lake and make a full day of gathering sunshine rays to take back home. Many people love to swim here, fish from the extra wide and sturdy pier, take a boat out, or rent one of the many watercrafts available by local companies. Charter boats with meals are a fun thing for large groups or couples. Weddings are held by boat here as well! Take a short drive to 109 Old Chaplin Road, Lexington, SC 29072 to “Flight Deck Restaurant “! The menu is loaded with a large variety of home cooked delicious bites straight from Heaven! Drive in any direction around this area for some of South Carolina’s best American, Italian, Mediterranean and Seafood ???? restaurants, as well as your regular budget friendly staples like Wendy’s, KFC, McDonalds, Rush’s, Applebee’s, Pizza Hut, Papa John’s, even Krispy Kreme and a few ice cream and yogurt shops as well. The best hotel by far to stay in for your visit to the Lexington, SC area is the Comfort Suites located at 325 West Main Street in Lexington, SC 29072! The rates are fair, especially for the cleanliness of this hotel! It is staffed with warm inviting employees that are always available for you. I can’t mention enough how clean this hotel was when my kids and I stayed there. The pool area was more like a sauna ( but I liked coming out of the cold water to a steamy room...personal preferences ????). I have just given any family who wants to bond with or without children a hidden treasure box! This area was my home for more than 4 years and I will definitely go back to visit as often as I can. Take advantage of the Lexington public library, walk the Dreher Shoals Dam, catch a movie, eat great foods, stop by Wingard’s Market for an AMAZING experience of fresh locally grown produce, fresh ???? honey being made right in front of you by those awesome little insects during the summer. They also have one of the greatest gift shops EVER! If you’re in Irmo,SC, Lexington, Columbia, or even Red Bank, you’ve got to visit these places I’ve mentioned and......”You’re welcome” in advance for the tips on all the fun and great memories you’re about to have and make.
