Campus has so much charm and appeal with its Georgian buildings and beautifully landscaped grounds. All the new buildings have kept with the old architecture on the outside adding to its appeal. Students are friendly and willing to help strangers. The buildings are spread out so be prepared to walk the hills.

The university has done a great job is utilising this former cinema to support its programmes while also preserving the heritage of a vintage building. The interior decor is impressive, the seating is comfortable and the acoustics excellent. Well done Bucknell.

Loved the roomy indoor setting on a rainy, windy day. Wonderful orchard offerings. We liked the effort by Schlegel’s to limit pesticides in/on their products. Delicious applesauce. Huge variety of apples. Lots of bakery booths, vegetable stands, some starter plants, many fresh meat counters, even seafood. Some other sections with soaps, collectibles.... worth a visit.

Fero Vineyards and Winery

We produce distinctive wines suited to our Central Pennsylvania location. We grow Riesling, Lemberger,Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Gruner Veltliner and Separavie for our premium dry wines. We make a line of easy drinking sweet and semi-sweet wines too. We sell our wine only at our tasting room in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. Our goal is to provide a great vineyard experience and real value.

My wife and I developed an appreciation for wineries in the past few years as this sort of place has become more common. Planning an overnight in PA, we scheduled a stop at this location. What a fortunate choice!

The facility itself is good looking, with an Amish-country feel, a big dining room, a tasting bar, and a fair selection of merchandise. Their tastings are priced quite reasonably, you can sample 3 for free, or go up to 8 for $5.00. We opted for the 3 free ones plus the eight, and purchased a bit of local cheddar to balance the experience. The vineyard here produces almost all of their own grapes, save for a couple of the swet varietals which they purchase from the Erie region.

Well, dow to the wine. The vintners here have great talent. The wines that were not quite to my taste were nonetheless clean, flavorful and admirable. They do a full range of dry and fruity-sweet wines, plus a couple of sparkling varieties that you can sample only on weekends. Of the wines I tasted, the Pinot Gris and Reislings were outstanding, and we came away with a half-dozen assortment. On the other exteme, I am not fond of fruity sweet wines but I can gell why someone who does like them would delight in their peach or berry-berry versions.

To make the visit as close to perfect as possible, our hostess was knowledgable and friendly and had no reservations about staying open a little past the usual hour to give us late arrivals a chance to fully appreciate the tasting.

As a bonus, the place schedules many special events; on this evening, they're working towared a murder-mystery dinner. So if you like that sort of thing, you'll want to check their website to plan accordingly.

All in all, I can recall being at a couple of wineries that were as blessed with great wine, great service, and great atmosphere as Fero--but only a few of them!

Stopped to do a little antique/collectible shopping. The highway sign made it sound really good.
It is very large and if country, old toys and kitchen utensils or costume jewelry are your things then you may like it. But, I didn't see anything that was of any special interest to me and the prices set by some of the vendors are sky high.
The Street of Shops is a 5 blocks away and is cleaner, better organized, and far more reasonably priced.

However, once we got going we moved along quickly working as a team. The staff was wonderful. So much fun! We are definitely going to this again!

Enjoy expertly guided paddle trips on the scenic Susquehanna River.

Reviewed By TravelingTraveler2 - Berkeley Springs, West Virginia

I took my family for our first kayaking experience in July 2014. I found Canoe S. online, booked the Annual River Town Paddle trip that benefited the Friends of Milton.
Could not ask for a better guide. Alan and Jeremy are super friendly, very passionate, caring, and want you to have a safe memorable paddle. The susquehanna river is beautiful, lovely views. Very quiet, peaceful. Everybody was all smiles.
They provided snacks, bottled water, and my favorite water blasters. Floating on the water, great, squirting water at your sister...priceless!!!!
We floated for about an 1 1/2 stopped at milton state park for lunch. Had a nice park for my niece to play. Took an educational tour on one of the trails. Provided by the Friends of Milton.
Floated another hour to lewisburg. Shuttled us back to watsontown.
Looking forward to going back next summer!!!
