Leola, formerly part of the Leacock-Leola-Bareville CDP before consolidating into the current census-designated place for the 2010 census, is a community in Upper Leacock and West Earl Townships in Lancaster County in the state of Pennsylvania. It is located along Pennsylvania Route 23 between the city of Lancaster and the borough of New Holland. As of the 2010 census the population was 7,214 residents.

The shop where I used to buy quilts closed due to the owner retiring , I have been looking for a new special shop for awhile. I went to Riehl’s after visiting several shops on a friend’s recommendation. It is a bit of a drive, pleasant through expansive farm land. The shop itself is is located on a working farm. We were warmly greeted by a young woman who worked with me to find “my” quilt. The quilts were well organized and it was easy to see the various patterns, I fell in love with about half a dozen. We folded and unfolded several quilts easily chatting as the time flew by. I bought a beautiful quilt with a cathedral pattern, they had a wonderful selection of these, more than other shops I had visited, and they were well priced . The shop had many other quilted items at various price points as well as holiday items and various styled pillows. There was no pressure to make a purchase and the saleswoman gave me time both to look by myself as well ax’s spent time with me when I requested her to. Overall a wonderful shopping experience and I will treasure and enjoy my new quilt, I have clearly found my new quilt shop!
