We were staying Latrobe for the night and happened to notice two large toy soldiers standing at the entrance of the building. So we as a family went in - woooow talk about a surprise the interior is packed from roof to floor with every type of gift and gadget you could want for. With areas themed - Dr Who, Spooky, Alice in Wonderland, Harry Potter etc etc - a fantastic 60 minutes of total well spent time - the cakes and coffee were also very good. Have a look - its worthwhile!!!!!!!

We had visitors from Japan ???????? who came specifically to see the Duckbill Platypus and I must say they were not disappointed. They visited the forest at dawn on several occasions and were extremely happy to report that they had spotted several Platypus ducking and diving in the Mersey River

This is the best chocolate shop ever! We ordered the chocolate waffles were amazing and very warm and fresh. They came promptly and were one of the best meals I've ever had- a must eat! I loved the area out the back where you can watch chocolate being made - it was a great experience and something I had never seen before. The moulds were very interesting, as was the information about the history of chocolate. After we had our afternoon tea we visited the chocolate shop which was amazing - so many options of things to buy. We bought an Anvers Chocolate Factory apron and some truffles, great value for money and the truffles were absolutely delicious. A must-see place - unlike any other chocolate factory in the world!

This zone adjoining Bell’s Parade is special for everyone. Tidal river adjoins the area, and reveals wonderful unique walking zones that continue to get better and better. Even overall rating, compared to mini past rating, is definitely a real indication of how unique and Wold Special this region is developing. Also close to The Axman’s Hall of Fame, with wonderful Thai Imperial Restaurant inside. Excellent ???? ???? ????????

I have been working in Latrobe on and off for the last 14 years.I do like terrestial orchids so always come here.Often once a week as often different species flowering. You do have to know what you are looking for as many are small and often under cover.I come even in the winter months and likely will not see an orchid but prolific bird life.Just sit down on a log and wait. Have seen many orchid species here.Just a few pics.
