The actual fort is great and worth seeing. Disappointed in the center that is not completed or they are remodeling, not sure which. A lot of 'coming soon' signs where there should be displays.

Frank Lloyd Wright Overnight! Touring Fallingwater is Satisfying..Staying at Polymath Park is Spellbinding!
but they seem to be doing a great job. There were three homes on the property with another in storage containers waiting to be assembled. The Duncan house itself was sad...the design is great but the materials used and lack of knowledge about construction basics we take for granted today (no ventilation for the roof...and not overlapping the exterior materials cause a horrid musty stench in the house) made it unpleasant to tour...they rent these places out, I absolutely would not have been able to stay in there more than a few minutes. I would ove to see the place build correctly with high end materials.
The other two houses were great...really good designs assembled in well though out locations created by two of FLW's students. Worth the trip if you are into homes/architecture and design.
The tour guide was funny, I guess it gets old or boring bussing people back and forth and giving the same talks over and over.
Lunch at tree top was ok... the waitress seemed rushed...

We spent a nice day at Keystone State Park. The park has a pretty lake which is used for fishing, boating, and swimming. There are several picnic areas and some trails on which to walk. Cabins are available for those who desire to camp.

The old theater has been lovingly restored and kept up very well. It has shows from concerts to plays to special local events to comedians. It has seen names such as (these are ones I attended) Kenny Rogers, George Carlin, Chi Lites, Travis Tritt, Blue Man Group, Stomp and so many more, even I have been to, that I can't even remember!

I visited the beautiful church on campus the week before Easter. It felt very peaceful. I also visited the Mister Rogers museum and loved seeing the memorabilia. In past visits I have been to the grist mill, the cemetery, and of course Steelers camp. Saint Vincent has a wonderful campus!

The Westmoreland Museum of American Art is located just 35 miles east of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in the heart of historic Greensburg, tucked amidst the breathtaking Laurel Highlands. The Westmoreland is a regional museum with a national presence. But, it's more than a museum. It's a destination that presents a unique look at American life. Built to inspire and engage, it's a place for people from all corners of the world to gather and experience American art. The Westmoreland's collection includes works by major artists from four centuries. It also captures the region's rich agrarian and industrial past by placing local history within the greater context of our nation. The Museum is home to more than 3,400 objects of fine and decorative American art, including a new collection of post-1950 artwork. And, every work of art has a story to tell. After a dramatic renovation and expansion, The "New" Westmoreland has become a true 21st century museum with increased gallery and education spaces, enhanced community-oriented programming, and an architecturally-dynamic and LEED-certified new wing to feature traveling exhibitions. Visitors to The "New" Westmoreland will build a deeper relationship with the Museum's diverse collection, and develop a deeper appreciation for American art.
It's worth seeing the updated Museum of Art for the architecture itself. And, the view from the upper level is amazing. Add an exceptional permanent collection, a variety of short term exhibits and installations, project nights, Jazz during the winter, Free days with cafe, you have a great way to spend a day or evening. One can be a member; yet nonmembers are, also, welcomed and encouraged. There are complimentary lectures as well as venues with nominal costs. Something for everyone ~ young, old, teens, and in between. I recently visited for a specialty event and was able to view the latest installation. It was amazing.

Visitors to our museum, located in an 1815 historic building, will see a film on the Lincoln Highway, the first US cross-country highway, view a number of interpretive exhibits on quirky roadside architecture, distinguish differences between restored gas pumps, trace the Highway across Pennsylvania in beautiful black and white photographs, and shop for Lincoln Highway memorabilia and fine artisan crafts. Visitors also receive a 60 page driving guide and a postcard that we'll even mail for you.
This is a nice small museum on the Lincoln Highway housed in a 200 year old home along the original alignment of the highway through this area. It has some nice photos and descriptions of landmarks along the highway and a good film to introduce...MoreThank you for stopping by our museum. Have a grand adventure along the Lincoln Highway and beyond!

Western PA's largest and oldest produce only market. About 130 vendors weekly set up from 8-noon every Saturday from Memorial Day weekend through the first Saturday in October. Vendors are equally distributed between fresh produce, fruit, poultry, meats, bedding plants and perennials. Many of our farmers sell heirloom varieties of tomatoes and other vegetables. Most employ organic methods of farming.
Talk about great food, come to the Country Market in Ligonier. Every Saturday morning in the summer, a variety of food booths are cooking up great food. Als, of the 100 tents, many are craftsmen tents (jewelry, soaps, outdoor furniture, paintings and art crafts, etc:)...MoreThe fresh produce is starting to come in more and more. See you next week.

My toddler is a Daniel Tiger super fan! So being that we were able to get on the trolley and have him see the show and become super excited was worth the 5hr ride from Philadelphia. The park offered free return tickets for the 2018 season as something occurred in the water park. I had no idea I was given this, the person at the booth should have been more clear.
The Good
Free Parking
Plenty of rest areas
The Bad
Only one attendant per ride makes lines super drag out
The food is pricey at the park, I recommend purchasing the online food combo you save on average $2 dollars a person if you go this route.
