My husband and I took our 4 year old and we all had a great time. There is something for everyone and one of the pools was even warmer that your average pool. There was a variety of slides, a water playground, a dry playground, a really fun lazy river, and even food trucks. That is all just what is outside, there are even more amenities inside.

Every October the talented & passionate staff of Fort Langley host haunted walking tours of the area. My first tour was in 2017, I loved it so much that I returned this year & took my parents. Both tours were absolutely fabulous - the hosts are amazing story tellers with a depth of history and knowledge that will bring you back to another time. This hands down has to be one of the best Halloween experiences in the Greater Vancouver area - highly recommended! Their tours often sell out, so book early! Tickets go for sale in September.

Arranged for a tasting in advance of attending at The Bistro for dinner. Outdoor picnic area was very busy when we pulled in. Winery staff were monitoring the outside area for adherence to Covid protocols. Had a great tasting with a lot of detail on the wines and winery history. Proceeded to The Bistro for a wonderful dinner for our group of 5. Service was excellent, drinks arrived quickly followed by appetizers of mussels, escargot, Caesar salad and fresh bread. Mains arrived, cooked to perfection and taste. This is a great hidden gem but more and more folks are finding this wonderful spot in the country. Bought two cases of wine “to go” we were so impressed. Will definitely return.

Campbell Valley Regional Park

Reviewed By Bugqueen - Burnaby, Canada

Campbell Valley Regional Park is maintained by the Metro Vancouver Regional Parks board. The park is formed from 6 historical farm plots, with portions set aside for the Langley Tree Farm and scout Camp McLean. It contains a vast number of hiking, walking and equestrian trails as well as function facilities such as picnic shelters. Within the park there are 29 kilometres of trails, all unpaved, 14 km of which are designated for equestrian use and 1 km of which is set aside solely for pedestrian and bicycle use. More bicycle trails have become available since the 2009 construction of the perimeter trail. The Southern end of the park is home to both the Rowlatt Farmstead and the historical Lochiel Schoolhouse. Both landmarks predate 1924.  In the late 19th century and the early 20th century, many logging companies took advantage of the temperate rainforest in the area and clearcut the entire park. During this time, logging railways wound throughout the park. The route of one such rail line is clearly visible today along the Ravine Trail at the South end of the park. The routes of the railways are marked on park maps. An old paved racing oval is located in the eastern section of the park and is maintained by the Langley Speedway Historical Society. In the past, it was host to local and NASCAR racing events.

Dead Frog Brewery

Dead Frog Brewery is a small batch craft brewery born and raised in the Fraser Valley! Established in 2007, Dead frog has more than 15+ taps of fresh craft beer and an entire menu of locally sourced, house-made eats! We think brewing craft beer should be all about creativity, innovation, and having a hoppin' good time, and that's what we strive for.

With a billion options for craft brew in Langley and the Lower Mainland, Dead Frog is tops for quality, innovation, and service. Dead Frog has been a destination for us on a regular basis for the last year or so. We've connected there when hosting out of town guests, needing a spot for a work get together, filling a growler for a party, connecting with friends for a birthday pint, and even a weekly weekend "Biergarten" type hangout with our young kids. No matter what type of gathering, the staff behind the counter and manager Niel go out of their way to make our family feel like part of theirs. For example, we were meeting with a small group from work on a weeknight. Not exactly business but not exactly casual; we needed to discuss some agenda items before relaxing altogether. As the evening crowd set in and the place got busy, we had trouble hearing each other in our group. So Niel, the manager, personally fired up all the outdoor heaters and set our tables outside at our request. They guy even brought us blankets. Rather than feeling like we were shuffled out of sight, servers were out every 20 minutes to bus and take new orders. Our group ended up staying until the place closed. If only every business meeting was so effective and enjoyable. All that to say, the staff are enthusiastic about being at work and you can tell that the management-style of leading by being present and serving is a big part of that. The beer is also the tops and there's never a shortage of variety on tap. You can expect about 20-25 different options of ales, IPAs, stouts, blends, house-brewed root beer (ideal for kids), and guest taps. My personal favorites had to be a summer Pina Colada IPA and the Nutty Uncle Peanut Butter Stout. I haven't been disappointed with any of their brews and regularly find myself getting a taster flight to ensure I'm up on the latest Dead Frog. If you're into live music, be sure to stop in on Sunday (4:00-6:00pm) as local artists are on sight offering truly talented and engaging performances Finally, for a tasting room without a full menu, their food is excellent. We regularly pair our afternoon eats with their nachos, guac, and house-made salsa. Their maple bacon popcorn is also a great pairing to share with friends. All in all, this is exactly what Langley needed. It gives a sense of hospitality and connection and breaks the mold of the uber-hipster breweries where you never feel cool enough to pull up a stool to the bar. Niel and the crew at Dead Frog know they've got great beer, they just want you to be part of it.
