Monkey Trunks offers fun for children, adults and families! Participants begin with ground school and receive safety instructions on how to navigate through the course. They then move on to the green course to demonstrate they have the ability to properly use their equipment. After completing these two stages, participants will progress through the levels - each level becomes progressively more challenging! Monkey Trunks courses feature ziplines, swinging beams, tightropes, rolling logs, hanging tires, cargo nets and more! Each Monkey Trunks location includes a children's course for the littlest of monkeys, with platforms no more than 6' off the ground. The children's courses include 6-8 challenges with an 80' zipline at the finish. Reservations are encouraged and can be made anytime online or by phone! Our Weirs Beach location offers a unique experience - zipping at night!
Great staff walk you through a training course before you head to the main course on your own. Rules are easy to follow and staff are on hand to remind you. Some rope spans are quite challenging while others are quite easy. Zip line was great fun!

I cannot say enough about the Fantastic experience we had Gunstock this past week. I've been a skier on the East Coast for 40 years and have a lot of experience with different ski resorts. Gunstock went out of their way to bee friendly, accommodating and helpful. We were able to save a ton of money but using the flex pass option to discount tickets, rentals and lessons. I was glad that we brought our own lunch because I thought that the food in the cafeteria was a little bit pricey, compared to what they charge for other services. I thought that the trails were very well kept, the lodge was comfortable though basic and the people were very accommodating and made the experience fun. The only downside was that the crowds at the ticket office and Rental pickup were brutal on the first day. We spent 45 minutes in each line which would have been awful if that was the only day we were skiing. however once we managed that situation the first day, we were able to skip all of that waiting for the next days. I highly recommend this mountain for a great family experience.

If you are vacationing in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire and enjoy shooting sports, you'll want to check out Belmont Firearms & Range. This is a clean well kept indoor range run by a firearms dealer who sells new, used and consignments of all kinds. Looking around the shop, it appears he is well stocked in rifles, semi-auto pistols and revolvers. The owner, Bob, helped us get set-up with our gun of choice for rental (Walther PK .380 & Glock 22 in .40 S&W). Bob was very straight-forward and patient. We are experienced shooters and he seems like he really has good communication skills which help with inexperienced shooters. We went on a Tuesday and had a really great time. In looking at his website, it appears he has all types of fun special event possibilities like birthday bachelorette/bachelor parties, retirement or graduation celebrations. The site also says Wednesday and Sundays are Ladies Nights with 50% off range time. This was a great 1-2 hour activity in a nice, clean setting - even the bathrooms are large and very clean. Also, renting allows you to test out something you've never tried before and perhaps want to put on your firearm wish-list. He also has accessories and I had my eye on a Maxpedition sling-back bag until my husband put the kibosh on it. Maybe next time I'm in New Hampshire, because I'm definitely going back to this range. Thanks to Bob for a great activity - perfect for a rainy day in the lakes region.

No visit to New hampshire is complete without a cruise on Lake Winnipesaukee aboard the M/S Mount Washington. Scenic cruises on Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire's largest lake depart Weirs Beach daily late May through October. The lake is surrounded by mountains and dotted with islands and offer some of the most spectacular scenery in New Hampshire. Alternating ports: Wolfeboro, Alton Bay, Meredith and Center Harbor. Breakfast, lunch and cocktails are available on board. Sunset dinner dance cruises feature buffet dinner and dancing to live music.
Staying in Meredith for a few days included a coupon for the Lake cruise which we have never done.
It was a bit cool but the trip to Wolfboro from Weirs Beach was great. Our only complaint was the food. Under a Deli Offering it had a Turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce sandwich. Sounded good, but what we got was a very greasy, heavy grilled Turkey and stuffing sandwich. Not " Deli " as we know it.

Known for hosting the Winston Cup stock-car races and Motorcycle Week.
I have been privileged to work as a Security Specialist at an amazing one mile oval racetrack, about 20 miles east of Concord, the state capitol. Several events are scheduled each year , providing entertainment for many people from NH, MA,ME,VT and surrounding states. Opportunities exist to meet your favorite NASCAR driver, take photos of their cars and crews before watching them compete. From the bleachers or VIP seating and even from the best vantage point -The Ledges- between turns three and four Concessions offer food, beverage and souvenirs. In two weeks I will again securely cover my area of assignment.

Museum is closed. Our museum is the only museum in the country which chronicles the history of the motorcycle policeman. There are 94 motorcycles on display from 1909 to 2005, a movie theater, a workshop where we build a bike a year, a special Laconia Race exhibit with racers from 1909 to the present, our lobby is dedicated to our military with original WW11 motors and much more. Our pride and joy is our junior motor officer area where children receive a badge and police ID card if they take a pledge to read every night, obey their parents, promise not to bully, and say no to drugs.
The Lakes Region of New Hampshire has much to offer tourists and residents alike. This museum is a "must" place to visit. I've visited for each of the last 3 years and am looking forward to another visit this summer. The museum is unique in...MoreThank you very much for your thoughts. We are proud to share the rich history and sacrifice of all those who serve. Hope to see you again. Sincerely Doug

Game arcade offering a special room of working vintage 1970s and '80s games.
It is like a trip down memory lane. They have hundreds of arcade games, mostly older from the 1970's/1980's (including an original "pong" game) to somewhat more modern machines.
The selection of pinball machines is not as expansive, but it is a nice selection, the only problem is a few need to be fixed so the bumpers & flipper paddles are more responsive.
The have bowling, skee-ball and other fun activities too.
There are games for little kids all the way through big kid adults.
We had an enjoyable few hours here.

This park includes a beach for swimming on Lake Winnipesaukee.
Beach has plenty of parking, picnic groves and shade. It is a great place to picnic and has a large 1000' Long Beach with a sandy bottom and gradual slope. Very good for family outing as the beach is sheltered from the wind and waves on the lake.
