It is said that this mansion is most beautiful one in west of Iran; unfortunately, you can not find out about visiting time, it is said that on Thursdays and Fridays is open, but, that's not true (it's under restoration), anyway, during Nowrooz (new year of Iranian) it's open for sure. Residential palace (kind of palace) of Ardalan dynasty (the dynasty ruled over Kurdistan for centuries, with some short intervals) is more than anything else associated with Khosro (Ardalan Ruler) and of course, Mastooreh Ardalan (the wife of Khosro, the poet, and the first female historian of Iran) whose statue is at the end of the boulevard in front of the building. It used to be kind of Chahar Bagh (four garden) with a ditch used to surround it; of course, new buildings around mansion have been built and so, it's not what it used to be. Still, you can see beauty, romance, poems ( Khosro Ardalan the ruler and his wives were poets) and history there, anyway. Like other Iranian mansions, it consists of some different sections; kitchen, Internal area, external area, servants and monitors area and so on, but, moreover, a century back, some new parts has been built around the courtyard. Now, there is a workshop, where, the most well-known sculptor of Kurdistan, Hadi Ziaedini works there and you can see some of his works (Almost, all of his works are about Kurds and Kurdish culture and you can find out more about them, there).

Zarivar (or Zrebar) is a natural lake in Marivan city, Kurdistan. The lake gives you a uniqe chance for birding activities as more than 270 kinds of birds has been recorded here. Walking beside peaceful lake, visiting villages around it, eating fresh grilled fish, boat riding, fishing, etc are available just around this amazing lake. You can walk from Marivan city to the lake, it's just two KMs.

I would recommend this site to every visitors. There is two parts, one is made with hands through history and there is natural part. if you wants to visit both you may need almost one hour. I like the natural parts more. You have to climb a several stairs, go through dusty routs, wet routs and sometimes narrow ones so remember to wear a suitable shoes and dresses. There is electricity inside the cave but it is good to have a headlamp also. It's located on a high altitude lands(about 2000 meters high above see levels) compare to it's surrounding areas, so it is always colder. And remember to bring a camera, you may find a very nice subjects and photos there.

Sanandaj also called "Senna" is a city in the Kurdistan Province of Iran. Sanandaj occupies a fertile valley in the Zagros Mountains. The city is a major manufacturing and retail trade center with many different products, including carpets, cotton textiles, leather, metal ware, cutlery, pottery, wood furniture and wood crafts, milled rice, refined sugar, and processed foods. Its old bazaar is noted as a place to buy Kurdish handicrafts. Sanandaj is home to the ruins of an 11th- and 12th- century fortress, the Dar al-Ehsan Mosque, and the Sanandaj Museum. The museum is housed in a 19th-century royal palace whose Arusi Room, or Wedding Room is considered a masterpiece of handcrafted woodwork. Kurdistan University, founded after the 1979 Islamic revolution in Iran, is also in the city. The area around Sanandaj is known for its many mountain caves, hot springs, and freshwater lakes, many of which cater to tourists. The nature around Sanandaj is lovely.

It is a wonderfull amazing village in the heart of the mountains with beautifull roads and kind people. It has one basic hotel and many guesthosts and homestay. I also recommend to visit it at night which is more beautifull. There are also some nice villages near it and Tate road near the Iraq border is just 15 minutes drive which is a nice place to see the sunset.
