I had just had a nasty fall when we went to the information centre to get the directions to the Little Blowhole. The staff were very concerned and sat me down and got some ice to help with the bruising to my chin. It was totally unexpected but very much appreciated. And we did find the Little Blowhole thanks the lady's directions which she gave my husband before continuing on our journey.

Minnamurra Falls

Reviewed By StephenSue - Canberra, Australia

Don't be put off by the older reviews - Minnamurra Falls is open, easy to see, and still one of the absolute gems of the NSW South Coast. It's a beautiful drive here, and the new Visitor Centre is still under construction, but the walk is open, and now easier than ever. So easy in fact a large part of it is now open to wheelchairs, and with a bit of effort, a wheelchair could possibly do this whole loop. And the walk is lot shorter than the signs suggest. We did the loop, and the diversion to the falls in well under 2 hours, and passed plenty of young families, many with strollers. The walk to the first swing bridge is flat, and easy for wheelchairs and strollers, after that it is quite steep in parts, but is mostly long ramps with few stairs. The loop itself is the best part of the walk, with swing bridges over the river, and beautiful tall trees and rainforest ferns closing in around you. The walk to the top of the falls is a much harder slog (and narrow in parts so leave strollers behind at the turn off) and the views at the top are good, if not spectacular, now that access to the base of the falls has been permanently halted by a landslip. A great day out, a lovely picnic area and with good toilets at the visitor centre. The only red flag is parking - this is now so popular on weekend the car parks can fill up by 11 am, and they block the road until spaces are freed up. Also, check weather forecasts, as the falls and the road to them are also closed on very wet days. The parking fee is a flat $12, but there's no other fee for the walk, and you can bring your own food and drink. A must if you're visiting anywhere in the Kiama to Nowra region.

Kiama Harbour

We had parked up by the lighthouse and after looking at the Blowhole decided to walk down around past the ocean pool to the harbour. The harbour is protected by a break wall and it where you find the fishing charter boats and dive boat. There is also the fishing Co Op where you can buy your fresh seafood. A nice walk and very picturesque.

Kiama Coastal Walk

Reviewed By SusanW4197 - Kiama, Australia

Kiama Coastal walks are in a few sections. You can walk from Minnamurra (close to railway station) & walk to Kiama (where there is another railway station) & catch train back. Weekend trains are less frequent so time your walk to coincide with return trip; but get a coffee, snack or lunch at one of the great cafes before you go. Then there is a walk from Kiama to Gerringong. This is along some remote farm land & more undulating & there is a creek crossing at Gerringong end. The railway station here is a fair way from the walk end & some people do a car shuffle or walk back to Kiama. Spectacular scenery, sometimes you see whales (seasonal) or seals, dolphins, white breasted sea eagles. Quieter on week days - you may be alone on walk. Can be a little muddy after heavy rain but usually OK. This is a MUST WALK - one of the top in the world.

Lovely beach with stretching views of rolling green hills and coast line. Werri beach is patrolled during the warmer months, has a lap pool and small circle pool for the little ones which we found making a beach swim so much safer. Ample parking.

My young children (4 to 9 years of age) could have spent a whole day here at low tide exploring the rock poles - obviously under the close supervision of responsible adults. At high tide, you can hear and see the water shooting up the hole in the rocks - quiet mesmerizing at times. Not as much safety fencing around, so be aware.

Jamberoo is awesome and well spaced out!! There is heaps to do there from water slides to enormous splash park also with water slides, take the chair lift to the top of the mountain seeing beautiful views and toboggan your way back down on either the beginner track or the fast track!! The beginner track is ideal for parents with little ones as they have the double toboggan;) thete are quite a few other awesome rides including the funnel web, the perfect storm but these are not suitable for littlies! But there certainly isn't a shortage of youngster stuff; splash park, wave pool, shaded water play area etc:) Parking is free and plentiful, There are heaps of shops but I have to say pack your own, the line ups are HUGE at lunch time. They have bbqs and lockers too, plenty of sitting areas so go on enjoy an awesome day out, whether with the family or friends you won't be disappointed:D
