Oasis Spa Turquoise Cove - Only moments from the ocean, this spa conveys both the serenity and energy of the sea. Enter its columned archway to find a stylish Moroccan decor with private treatment villas, terrazzo baths, and private relaxation rooms. All guests will enjoy duo outdoor rain showers, the Thai herbal steam cave and an outdoor swimming pool.
Oasis Spa is one of the most beautiful and well executed Spa's in Thailand. They have locations all over Thailand and they do not disappoint. This time I was in Phuket and went to the Turquoise Cove and it was beautiful. They picked us up at the hotel and took us to the Spa and we swam at the pool before we started our treatment. I got the hair spa which in my opinion is the best head to toe package. The staff do a great job at thinking about all the details from doing a mini facial massage in the beginning and at the end of this package treatment. It was simply such an amazing experience and worth every baht.

Kamala Muay Thai Gym is a locally owned community Gym. The gym provides Muay Thai training and classes for local students and tourists of all levels. Classes are 1 on 1 with a qualified instructor, however group fitness classes can be arrange for those that wish to train as a group with one trainer. The gym is a new addition to the Kamala area and welcomes beginners to the sport.
Trained for a week during my stay and learned so much here! The trainers are experienced and make the class fun and despite a slight language barrier, we were able to communicate the techniques effectively. Along with my own individual sessions, my family did a group lesson there and really enjoyed it! This is a locally owned gym so it definitely has that "raw" and "hardcore" feel to it. There are other "fancy" gyms around Phuket, but training here just feels more authentic...can't wait to come back next year!

While Thailand is 95% Buddhist, Kamala's residents are mostly Muslim. There are many Mosques around this small village, but, there is only one Temple. A very nice Temple. It was rebuilt after the 2004 tsunami and enlarged a couple of years ago. Unlike the larger Temples around Phuket, there isn't a swarm of tourists. They drive by without realizing that It's a terrific example of a traditional Buddhist temple. You should take an hour to attend a service and explore the artwork that lines the walls and the many Buddha statues. There is also a photo display of the tsunami destruction. Photos are allowed. Services start at 8am and run every hour through out the day. They last about 30 minutes, and are in Thai. Tourists are welcomed. It's customary to provide an offering to the monks. Stop at the 7-11 next door and pick up a 12 pack of Oishi tea. The Temple is located by the school on the beach road. This should not be missed.

This cultural theme park is divided into three sections: shopping in the Festival village, dining in the Golden Kinnaree Buffet Restaurant and Vegas-style entertainment in the Palace of the Elephants.
What an amazing show. Dinner beforehand - we have never seen such a wide variety of enjoyable food. Huge complex. Even tried a Hong Thong (Thai whiskey). Almost like photos I have seen of disneyland. During the show, there was actually 15 elephants on stage at one time. Hens & goats running across the stage. The trapeze artists were brilliant directly above our heads - we did book the gold seats for better viewing.
