This place is naturally beautiful. A monumental stone with important petroglyphs allows you to get in touch with the Taino culture and its enviroment. A popular spot for bathing in the river and cooling off.
Tucked away behind a restaurant called Hijos del Cañaveral in Jayuya where i did not get a chance to eat at is a wooden well built pathway that leads down to a river with a boulder carved with indigenous petroglyphs set between breathtaking mountains. Its a place where the only thing you hear is mother nature at its best. Not only being a great picture spot its a place to connect with the inner beauty that Puerto Rico has to offer. If you get to Jayuya please do me a favor and get to this place. It is surely worth it. I will definitely go back for the food the next time i am there. If you go before me please let me know.

The Bosque Estatal de Toro Negro is a vast forest (located in Ponce, Jayuya, Orocovis, Juana Diaz and Ciales) with around 18 km of trails, a few beautiful ponds, rivers, and lakes. There's also an observation tower atop the Cerro Dona Juan, which is Orocovis' highest point, and which you can climb to experience one of the best views Puerto Rico has to offer. Moreover, the camping site in Barrio Ala de la Piedra is a great place to stay in Orocovis during the weekend.
