Located at a central place near and clean place with very cal and quite environment. Spatik shiv lingam is one of the few of this type in India. The beauty of this temple is there are no Pandya pressing you for pooja and forcing you to offer something in cash or kind. Very holy place worth a visit when in Jammu.

I am reviewing this now because I can't forget about this place a long ago and really want to picture back those moments when I visited this place for the first time. It is one the best place in Jammu to go and see. Its a very old age heritage building and the view from near across the Place is stunning. You can see the other side of Jammu and the Tawi river. The train entering the cave. Evening winter fog makes it more natural. its huge and best place to hang out with your family and friends.

This place is quite good to pick up your winter wear and winter use stuff, while in Jammu. One has to bargain hard, tough and rough, to get a decent price, as most of the stuff is quoted at exorbitant "tourist prices". Dry fruits is something else that you may explore procuring while at this place.
Recommended to be best avoided, if possible. Especially if Delhi is part of your itinerary on the same trip.

This lake is located about 30 kilometres away from the city of Jammu. This is one of the twin lakes of Jammu, the other being Mansar Lake. This lake is said to have been created by an arrow shot by Arjuna during the Mahabharata period. The lake is very beautiful with abundance of lotus blooming in it. The periphery of this lake has mangrove trees. There are high Mountains and dense Forests in close proximity. The flora and fauna of this place is very rich. The lake offers an environment of tranquility and serenity.

I did this 500 km trip in 2 days with a overnight stay in Kellong. This is a once in a lifetime experience where the geography keeps on surprising you, we gradually climb the highest pass at 16500 feet and descent to pastureland to reach leh. It's a must do experience but be prepared for the rough ride since the road was badly damaged, only the last 180 km towards leh was smooth. Would recommend staying at Jispa overnight.
