Great exhibition of Ara Guler photos! Last year a Picasso exhibition was held there. Free of charge. No crowds. You may leave your bag in a locker in the entrance area.

The design of the museum, the collection of cars, model cars and memorabilia is simply amazing and definitely a must see. It is hard to grasp how much love, effort and dedication it must have taken to build up this world class collection.

This elegant monument which was built in 1901, decorates Konak Square and has become the symbol of the city of Izmir.
This clock a present by the German leader Wilhelm at the time as a present to Abdulhamit han to commemorate his first year in reign. This being, a gift from German Emperor Wilhelm II who reigned 1888–1918. showing great respect to Abdulhamit Han showing respect, decorated in an elaborate Ottoman architecture style. The Izmir Clock Tower is a clock tower located at the Konak Meydani in the Konak district of İzmir, Turkey. From what I learned, The Izmir clock tower was designed by Levantine French architect Raymond Charles Père and built in 1901 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Abdülhamid II's accession to the throne

With the redness of the sunset, it takes man to other worlds. Especially if the sunset is from the sea, you will feel the fire that covers you. It was the most beautiful sunset I could watch in my life!

The waterfront is amazing. On the way to Alsancak, make sure to see Konak Pier and the old clocktower. There are so many restaurants, bars, and cafes to choose from in Alsancak. You can walk around for hours around Sair Esref or Kultur neighbourhoods, looking at old books or shopping for anything.

Must visit spot if you are traveling with kids in İzmir. My suggestion is to start your visit as early as possible, since the animals “go homes” at around 4 pm. And definitely grab your kids stroller since the territory is huge for walking around. One more tip - you can have a lunch right there in front of the pound with swans and ducks. The one thing which was disgusting for me personally was that they didn’t put proper signs with clear indication where to head. Or maybe that might be an issue only for those with topographical cretinism. I have lost a precious time searching for giraffes ???? f.e. Please take that into account and allocate a whole day from morning for the zoo. And keep in mind that the way will take about an hour to reach there. the diversity of animals you’ll see in correlation with the ticket price is GREAT. and what’s more important is their living conditions - the animals looked happy????

Coming by car from Kusadasi following E87 we drove past first as there were no signs to the mall from the motorway, follow signs to Mavisehir. We spent the whole day and saw only half of the mall. Beautiful and peaceful, very nice shops, there were some nice live music performance in the evening, nice modern mall, nice friendly people. Best mall in Izmir/Aydin/Kusadasi/Soke area.

This place is great! It is big, covers every facet of life, and has entertainment (including movie theater, bowling lanes, VR games). The food court has both fast food staples like KFC and Burger King, as well as local cuisine that includes kabobs, doner, pide, kokorec and kumpir (stuffed baked potatoes). Just make sure you have a friend that can speak Turkish with you.
