Sunset International Speedway with its geographic location being forty minutes from Toronto, the closest motorsports facility to race fans everywhere. Since it’s birth in 1968, Sunset Speedway has produced some of Canada’s top stock car racers. New ownership purchased Sunset Speedway in May 2009. Significant funds to upgrade the facility were invested, and at season end in 2009, the existing track asphalt was ground out, walls were removed and the track has been resurfaced and is now a 1/3 mile high banked oval – a track we consider to be the best in the Country.

Our 6,000 sq. ft century barn is a shopper's paradise and offers a superb selection for the discerning antique hunter. Every nook and cranny is used to display beautiful furniture, vintage clothing, linens, glassware, and home decorating ideas, nostalgia and much, much more. There is something for everyone from traditional antique fare to eccentric items sure to delight. New stock arriving weekly.
I've been here a few times, and always find something unique and worth the hunt! The folks who run the market are friendly and efficient, prices are reasonable, and the big old barnlike venue is a fun venue for it all. Cookstown is a cute little town, with a few other antique spots that make it worth planning a visit.

I love the 400 market. Every vendor is local small business. The food is fun. Lots of meats , pre- prepped meals, bakery and different meal idea’s . And I always take my jewelry here for repairs and my watches . I have had item engraved and polished. Very nice Asian family behind the information booth I my favourite jeweller. The have been their for 20 plus years. Every market is different as the vendors are unique to that area. In my experience this market has better deals. Vendors are changing. And some have been their for 30 years. Everything from tires, food, housewares rugs, pictures to Italian clothing, unique incense, Safety clothing, leather, wood carving, candy and jewelry. The antique market is huge. Expensive for some items. Like anywhere you need to know the value of a item. But if you want a antique - and it is 100 years old at half the value of IKEA (ikea does not last 100 years) then it is a good deal to get a solid piece that you can use for decades.. Nothing is cheap anymore. So this is a fun place to stop and support local business owners Thank you 400 market.

This place is Busy on long weekends especially and any nice weekend once school holidays begin. The beach is soft and Sandy and the water clear for swimming. Beyond the marked out swimming areas can be seen boats, yachts, jet skiers, paddle boaters and I once saw a water skier. Police do checks to ensure that life jackets are being worn and other safety checks. No dogs on the weekends I believe. Or between certain hours. There are cabanas and barbeque areas on shore and a boat marina. Also piers for fishing. A beach volleyball area and children's playground are not far from the changing portables and there are additional portables close to the snack shack within walking distance of the beaches. Bicycling paths and further away from the beach area are soccer pitches. Tennis courts (,phone the Town to enquire about tennis coaching. Former U of T coach who played ATP level tournaments as a junior overseas and has coached from ages 3 to 87 ) and baseball diamonds. Also two rentable cabanas ( ask town) and plenty of picnic spaces. Innisfil. Alcona also has a Canadian Tyre, Osmos. Chinese retaurants, Japanese and Korean restaurant. Wild Wing, Sobeys, No Frills. Home Hardware. Dollar Stores, Tim Horton within a fifteen minute walk from the beach park. Lots of other pub style or family diner eating spots plus about 7 ,different pizza spots and two pet food stores and a Wonderful library open on weekends; yes Saturday and Sunday hours!! Loads of new housing being built and about 20 ,minutes north is the Friday Harbour resort. What's Not To Like☺?!!!!!
