Come on board Snapping Tours and experience the world heritage listed wet tropics. Our tours provide you with an opportunity to learn more about the history and biodiversity of the Innisfail area, together with spotting an abundance of wildlife that call the Johnstone River home. Wildlife you will spot include salt water crocodiles, many bird species and turtles. Our tour guides will take you on a two hour journey around the Johnstone River, so you can experience the beautiful scenery and take a closer look at life above and beneath the waters of the Johnstone River. We have a very keen eye for spotting crocodiles in their natural habitat. They will either be lurking beneath the waters or sunning themselves on the sandbanks. Either way, it is a spectacular sight! During the tours, our tour guides will also check crab pots in the hope of seeing wild caught mud crabs, as well as explaining their general features and their habitat. Complementary drinks and light snacks are available on

Take a walk in the clouds in Wooroonooran National Park just 15 minutes out of Innisfail. Elevated walkways, a cantilever, and observation tower offer visitors the exhilarating experience of being high in the rainforest canopy, along with providing spectacular panoramic views of World Heritage rainforest landscapes. The Mamu Tropical Skywalk allows visitors to explore the rainforest from the forest floor to the canopy, in comfort and safety. The Skywalk passes through one of the largest-remaining continuous stands of complex vine forest on basalt soils in the Wet Tropics. Enjoy close-up views of rainforest plants, insects and birds, and take in sweeping vistas. Information signs tell of the rainforest's complex web of life and the rich culture and history of the area.
This pay-for attraction offers well manicured paths that take you to an observation tower, and elevated skywalk with views over the river and national park Numerous boards along the way educate you on the indigenous heritage of the area. Heaps of parking, a cafe, clean amenities, just an enjoyable way to spend an hour or so

A beautiful picture-perfect little beach. There’s a safe swimming section, a few benches, a barbecue area for those camping or staying in the sweet-looking cabins. We sat on the rocks, paddled and took dozens of photos. Two adult cassowaries wandered without concern within a few feet of us- what a treat!

The Innisfail Temple is a Temple of all Religions founded on Eastern Principles. The Innisfail Temple is a functioning Temple and Visitors are welcome to meditate, to admire the Temple or to enjoy its History. Visitors are invited to share in the calmness that the Temple offers to those who seek Tranquility.
My wife and I often visit our Chinese and other friends at the Temple on Sunday mornings - social visits. This must be one of the best kept Chinese Temples in Australia with a history going back to original settlers in Innisfail. The temple has many artifacts preserving its rich history.
