Icaria, also spelled Ikaria (Greek: Ικαρία), is a Greek island in the Aegean Sea, 10 nautical miles (19 km) southwest of Samos. According to tradition, it derives its name from Icarus, the son of Daedalus in Greek mythology, who was believed to have fallen into the sea nearby.

A place you must visit without doubt! Absolutely virgin beach far away from the civilization. Just wear your athletic shoes, take a couple of bottles of water and start your adventure!

There are too many steps. There are no facilities. It’s a pebble beach. It’s surrounded by rocks which turn it into a cauldron in the sun. There are people with no clothes on. It faces North and the sea certainly can be rough and the entry is quite steep. So stay away please and let those for whom all of those are not an issue enjoy a beautiful, primal place.

The beaches of Armenistis,Messakti and Yaliskari are all in one side and are three of the most beautiful on the island. Organised with small cantines, umbrellas, sunbeds and non mechanical water sports. Always beware of the waves, in all Ikarian beaches

This is a Long Beach area where you can go swimming and then relax under some trees. There are also a number of choices for eating, drinking, and shopping.
