Drove by this place wanted drinks so we dropped in. Very nice establishment. Lovely coffee and cakes. This is a good to stop for just coffee and a snack. Don't expect a full course meal as this is a very pleasant tea room. Stocks beer, soft drinks, and grocery.

Slough Fort is an 18th Century military fort built to counter the threat of French invasion by sea. It was an active posting during both World Wars, before being decommissioned and abandoned. Now, the Slough Fort Preservation Trust are working hard to restore Slough Fort to its former glory.
Great place to visit, very interesting. We had a brilliant tour with Neil and Martin who gave us a wealth of information about the fort. The fort is still being restored to its former glory. The views from the top of the fort are sensational.

The Fenn Bell Conservation Project was started with two Kune Kune pigs, Ginger and Spice. Seeing an add on the internet I fell in love with them and decided to bring them home to meet the wife. Little did I know how taking these two pigs on would change my life and open up a whole new world for me. Fast forward to today and we have achieved so much. We have lots of local schools visit us to learn
This was our second visit to the Fenn Bell, and it certainly will not be our last ???????????? I love the Fenn Bell Zoo. My friend and I did a feed the meerkat experience and it was amazing (the meerkats are my fave animals, along with the lemurs, whom we fed in February). They were adorable and very friendly. Our zoo keeper was very informative (it was clear how much he loved his job) and managed to take some great photos. The zoo animals are very well looked after and it was great to see all the measures put in place due to covid being adhered too. Great job all!!!! Thank you Fenn Bell!!!!!

This was my second trip to the Buckland carp lakes. Being the second hottest day in the UK ever recorded, we thought it might be slow but between 5 of us over 48 hours we managed to catch over 40 carp up to 18lb. A good couple of days fishing. The venue has good clean toilets and a hot shower. Scott, the bailiff, is a top bloke, always ready to give the benefit of his knowledge. The cafe is absolutely outstanding value. I had a full English breakfast, double of everything with chips, mug of tea, toast and a can of coke and it was less than £10. Tasted incredible. Highly recommended.
