I was first struck but the excellent road conditions throughout the reservation. Wish all Mass roads were so fine. Outstanding views of the Pioneer Valley abound in this destination. Drove in from the East Hampton entrance and ended up in Northampton. Well worth the trip.

So much freakin fun!!!!! I went with five girl friends, only myself and one other have tried an escape room before. We were kind of nervous about us working as a team but the direction of the staff and clues helped us get started. The game we played (can't release the top secret info about the game) was very interactive, challenging, and fun. They are opening a wizard themed one which I am looking forward to and have a cafe to grab some munchies (and to celebrate victory or being so close). I highly recommend coming here to play one whether with family, friends, or other type of loved ones! It is also located in an old mill which adds to the mystery. The staff was amazing and really made you get into the game (ps I am a sore loser, didnt get to escape, and still want to go back!!).

So sweet. Great setting. Warm with lots of light. On a lake. And a college campus. They serve a huge Sunday brunch once a month during the school year. They are usually holiday themed. Everything is delicious!

This Armory, which manufactured and tested firearms for the U.S. military from 1794 to 1968, houses the country's largest collection of small weapons. While the first floor is free, there's a fee for the second floor, which displays rare weapons and the largest collection of Confederate weapons anywhere.
Have not been to Springfield Armory Museum in over 30 years. The National Park Service has done a very nice job with the displays. Many of the machine guns on displays were stored for years in the basement. I hope they continue to improve. A valuable tribute to our fighting men and the men who designed weapons for them. Worth stopping to enjoy. Good for the entire family. The museum is free, but a small donation is welcomed.

Couldn’t be happier with our decision to add this to our weekend itinerary. Our four year old loved it- easily could spend 3 hours here. Every bit of space is used smartly and there is something for everyone. The climbing area is unlike anything I’ve seen at a children’s museum and the magnetic wall kept us occupied for nearly an hour. Loved the authentic touches in the paramedic and fire truck areas. Just fantastic.

Take the kids to the farm! They will love seeing and feeding a variety of animals from fancy chickens to rabbits to llamas. Then head into the creamery for breakfast of waffles with syrup made locally, omelets, home fries and more. For lunch: hot dogs, sandwiches, soups (and more). Follow that up with McCray's homemade ice cream (a bit expensive but good!) From there head to the mini golf course $6 or less according to age. Falls brings haunted hayrides. Monday through Friday special $10 for hot dog, drink and small ice cream and a game of golf.
Petting zoo open anytime. Golf open the same times as the creamery Monday through Friday 9-3, weekends 9-5. Check their website for more events

The Springfield Museums, located in the heart of downtown Springfield, Massachusetts, is comprised of four world-class museums covering art, history, and science, plus the Dr. Seuss National Memorial Sculpture Garden.
Out of state visitors pay an inclusive fee to see all 5 museums...for us it was 86 dollars which included the 30 minute planetarium experience ( two adults and two teens). It was well worth it! Friendly staff, beautiful buildings, cool exhibits! Tons of interactive things that younger kids would enjoy. Learned tons about Springfield itself. A must visit!

Holyoke Mall at Ingleside is a 1.6 million square foot enclosed shopping center in Holyoke, MA that is located at the Intersection of I-90 and I-91, drawing customers from four states including MA, CT, VT and NH. Western New England’s largest shopping destination with over 18 million visitors per year, Holyoke Mall has nearly 200 specialty shops, restaurants and departments stores.
Almost dead in the middle of the week. Only action near restaurants. Not even school shoppers, yet. A great place to walk and it has an interesting mix of stores. I love the Christmas Tree Shop for it's reasonable prices and variety of goods. Great sales.

We always stop at Mount Holyoke College for the spring bulb show after we leave the one at Smith College. It is very interesting to see how each greenhouse presents their take on spring and we are never disappointed! Mount Holyoke's greenhouses are slightly smaller than Smith's but are fascinating nonetheless! Beautifully maintained and a fascinating array of plants!

Bring the kids to this outdoor sculpture garden where the Cat in the Hat, the Grinch, and other beloved Dr. Seuss characters are immortalized in bronze, life-size statues all designed by Geisel's step-daughter, sculptor Lark Grey Dimond-Cates.
My wife and I visited the Dr Seuss National Memorial Sculpture Garden in Springfield, Massachusetts, during a tour of New England. We decided to go, as it was recommended in our guide book.
There is a small parking lot opposite the museum and the sculpture display consists of a series of bronze sculptures that were made by Dr Seuss’s step-daughter. Some, like the elephant are quite large.
Next to the garden is the Dr Seuss Museum (“The Amazing World of Dr Seuss”). We did not have time to visit that but for Dr Seuss buffs, it is probably essential viewing.
A fun place to visit if you are visiting Springfield.
