Enjoyed my walk around the Arboretum admiring the blooming azaleas however it is in desperate need of some attention. The Bridges are missing planks and are rickety and many of the tree name plates are missing. Such a pity as this is such a draw card to the area.

This was a great find. A special little shop in the country with a huge selection of crystals. There is also a gallery with stunning photo's of the area. Access is via a dirt road in fairly good condition. Well worth a visit . Enjoy!

The one and only way to experience Hogsback - Bicycle Rental, Abseiling and Archery. Mountain Biking: Our scenic bike tour takes you past numerous Waterfalls to hidden viewpoints off the beaten track. The guide's local knowledge will entertain you with interesting facts about the area while you take in the breathtaking views. Enjoy a refreshing swim in a natural jacuzzi and a picnic at Robinson Dam. Meander through pine plantations along the old jeep tracks, then enter the indigenous Forests where you'll face some single track madness. Abseiling: Abseil down a 35m waterfall into the indigenous Forests below - an exhilarating alternative to reaching the bottom of the famous Madonna & Child Waterfall. Archery: Looking for something safe, easy and fun for the whole family, then try your hand at the age old tradition of Archery.

Last time we visited the church had been destroyed by fire so it was so amazing to see it restored. One of the only churches in SA that is not locked apparently, so you can go in and have a look around. It is beautifully maintained. If you in Hogsback you should make a point to get there

39 steps is the name of the waterfall in the arboretum, It is a pleasant walk to get there and an opportunity to see some unique trees that were planted over 100 years ago including California Redwoods, bristlecone firs, and yellowwood. Really enjoyable visit

The Chocolate Shoppe is situated on the main road of this quaint village. We sell handcrafted chocolates made from the finest Belgian couverture chocolate.
What a great little find nestled in the quaint village of Hogsback. You can just tell that each chocolatey delight is lovingly handmade with much care and attention.
A shop you definitely can't just walk past - you have to pop in for a taste, you won't be disappointed!

I'm not really a pottery fan but I like exploring - especially in little towns like Hogsback. We went up a foot path that pointed towards the pottery - a little steep, so be prepared. There is pottery, beading and even essential oil goodies to purchase. The rose theatre was lock so I can't tell you what that is and there was a building in the front with a sign that just said gallery but this was also closed unfortunately.

Mafika Pottery was started by Luyanda which trained with Anton from Starways Pottery (also in Hogsback). We were greeted by a very lady which let us browse. Not alot to see but very well done. And the prices are quite good for such work. Even though I'm not a fan of pottery ware I did find something that I like in a beautiful green colour. And the view from the little shop is stunning too. Two for 1 special.
