Vancouver was founded as “Gastown” by an Englishman with a penchant for beer and storytelling. Today Gastown is a historic section of the Canadian metropolis, and the lively pubs still reflect the area’s former status as a sort of community drinking center. The city’s forests, grand parks, and impressive suspension bridge beckon travelers to explore them, as do the city’s shops and museums. Relive the glory of the 2010 Winter Games with visits to Olympic venues and the marvelous Olympic Cauldron.

Francesca is a very intuitive massage therapist. I like that she specializes in several modalities; Shiatsu, CranioSacral and Visceral Manipulation, she's able to help me out no matter what I'm feeling that day.

Since 1910, millions of guests have enjoyed sporting events, rides, concerts, cultural activities and the annual summer fair at the PNE, which runs every year from August to early September. The PNE has played an important part in Vancouver's history, as it used to showcase the city's agriculture and economy – which has since grown significantly. There is an activity or show for everyone, from thrill-seekers to shopping lovers.
It's a yearly tradition for us to visit the pne last year we missed it due to moving, but we took it in this year and had an amazing time.

We went to the track for a friend's get together. They had rented a suite and had it catered. Food: smoked salmon and cream cheese, prosciutto, desserts, veggie platter. The food was very nice. And the venue is spectacular!! We were just at the Kentucky Derby and I have to say I enjoy this smaller venue. And with the backdrop of the north shore, it's stunning. It was a beautiful day in sunny Vancouver. Sunshine, wine, horses and wiener dog races. Best day ever!!

Playland is part of the Pacific National Exhibition (PNE) fairgrounds in Vancouver and is BC’s most famous amusement park. Playland features exhilarating rides and attractions for all ages, exciting midway games, mini-golf, a climbing wall, haunted mansion and a variety of delicious food. Playland offers over 35 rides and attractions, including four exciting roller coasters. One of the most loved and talked about attractions at Playland is the historic Wooden Roller Coaster. This spectacular coaster has been operating at the park since 1958 and is cited as a “Coaster Classic” by the American Coaster Enthusiasts organization, which is an honour shared by only 22 other wooden coasters in the world. For the more adventurous visitors, Playland offers 15 extreme rides and attractions including the extreme swing ride Atmosfear, which takes you up 218 feet while spinning 70km/hour and The Beast, cited as Canada’s most extreme pendulum ride. For those looking to experience a bit of thrill with the entire family, Playland features 17 family and kids rides including three new family rides for 2016, a spinning coaster, Bug Whirled, a peddle operated ride, Flutterbye and a tower, Dizzy Drop. For those hoping to capture amazing views of Vancouver, the Westcoast Wheel ferris wheel will provide just that! Of course, a visit to Playland is not complete without a ride on the historic Wooden Roller Coaster. Unique to Playland is Kids Playce, an area designated for parents and families with children between the ages of 2-10. Kids Playce provides the perfect setting for families looking to spend some time together in a clean, safe and kid-friendly environment. Bring your friends and family out to Playland for a full day of fun! Playland is open from May 6 to September 17.
This theme park is still one of the coolest places to come to during the summer especially during the PNE. The Beast ride is so fun and probably the most intense ride at park! Definitely worth coming once.
