The Heartwood experience, especially in Autumn, is unparalleled. It begins as you turn into their long driveway, surrounded by an oasis of orange, red and yellow. Matt and Keiran welcomed as we arrived at the Cidery. They took the time to thoroughly describe their collection of ciders and often checked up on us to see if we had any questions. Their wide variety of cider was crisp, dry and flavourful. Hoppity was my personal favourite. In addition to the cider, they also have a regenerative farm with horses, chickens, pigs and an organic apple orchard. To truly experience Heartwood Cider, a visit to their Farm and Cidery is a must. The trip was an unexpected highlight of this Fall season.

The buildings house studios for artists and artisans, Glen Williams Glass glassblowing workshop, a Gallery, shop and education centre. Watch professional artists blowing glass, making jewelry from silver clay, painting in watercolour or carving stone. Chat with specialty artisans about their traditional wooden canoe building or chair caning, or commission a photographer or graphic designer. Browse beautiful Ontario Art and Craft in the Gallery and adjacent fashion boutique, and take home a beautiful item to remind you of your visit. Then stroll through the village to the antiquarian bookstore or antiques market and enjoy lunch, tea or an ice cream at the lovely Glen Oven Cafe. Limehouse is a near perfect conservation area that offers a number of short trails, POI, photo ops and a park. Parking is free and the trailhead is clear and welcoming. The trails are short enough for a hike with young children or a quick visit if you're short on time. However, there are some major issues that need to be mentioned. First, the trails are not well marked. The colour codes are not consistent, for example; The Bruce trail is Red on the map, but the blazes are White. The Yellow trail is the Blue trail. It's horribly marked and needs a simple upgrade. Secondly, there is so much dog crap on the trail it's revolting. Literally, smack dab in the middle of the trail people let their dogs crap. I don't know why people do this. You will usually find poop bags left trail side or even flung into the tree tops. I hope these people never return. Lastly, there is so much litter everywhere you look. It's too bad, because it would be a perfect park if not for the irresponsible dog owners or the losers leaving their garbage. If you go, please pick up a piece of garbage on your way out. Keep the green space clean and leave your dog at home.

The Old Seed House Garden is a 1.8 acre civic garden honouring the legacy of the Dominion Seed House in Georgetown, Ontario. A haven for people and wildlife, it features formal gardens, meandering pathways, a dry stone riverbed leading to a naturalized pond, and a sunken garden where the foundations of the famous mock-Tudor Dominion Seed House building once stood.

Just driving there was a beautiful! You already started to relax. You can park on the street. There is a huge map with different trails to choose from depending on how much time you have. The trail was well marked and well groomed. As you walk, you are surprised to see a pond or a small lake with ducks. Further down, you realize that you are on top of an escarpment and can see far away the beautiful rolling hills. There huge rocks along the side of the trails. The whole experience was fun!

This is a wonderful Course. I played it twice in the summer and just recently in the fall. Summer was definitely better condition but its a very nice and challenging golf course. Plenty long holes and elevation changes. Some very challenging greens and tight fairways. Don't try to walk it as you will be just another casualty and will either slow down the group behind you, or you will give up as many do. Lots of pull carts left on the 12th hole because the walk to 13 is pretty long and uphill. If i have one complaint is that some try to walk it and really slow down the pace. Clubhouse is nice, but the food is not great. Blame it on covid maybe, but get the hot dogs at least warmer than room temperature. Also, bring some balls as if you hook it into the trees, you'll get eaten by mosquitoes... Can't wait until next year as its a treat to play.
