Gresham /ˈɡrɛʃəm/ is a city located in Multnomah County, Oregon, in the United States, immediately east of Portland. Though it began as a settlement in the mid-1800s, it was not officially incorporated as a city until 1905; it was named after Walter Quinton Gresham, the American Civil War general and United States Postmaster General.

Enjoyed the cool morning walking through the park. Architecture and lovely grounds were beautiful. So appreciative of the shuttle bus. That hill is a long trek for a senior????

Beautiful scenery and going back to camp on the 17th. The play ground is big and lot to do. Lots of camp sites.

Unless you are handicapped, you have to park at the bottom of the trail by the historic "speakeasy" which you are not allowed to enter or walk around at the time of this posting. They show a picture up on a plaque on the sign board at the top of the park of the interior of the "speakeasy" and it looks kind of cool. You walk up a steep incline and the park is modern and new with cement walkway. There are bathrooms, multiple picnic table sights, and of course some views of the mountains and surrounding areas. The highlight for me actually was having this ladies Labrador named Meeka come charging up to me. I got to pet her big lump head. She was a nice Labrador, a big black one, very powerful, but thankfully very friendly and full of life. I sat on a bench up on top the butte and took in the view of the mountains and wondered why I was in the valley of indecision sliding down the razor blade of life and pondering "the triumph of nature as a form of transcendence of the world and pornography as one of the few remaining avenues of reentry".......I highly recommend the hike up Hogan Butte Nature Park.
