Main St. Marketplace

So many venders with different interests in Main Street. Friendly staff who are familiar with things they have. Lots of collectables, old and some new, clothing, paint, boots, you can likely find something you'd like to take home in here. It is one of a number of similar places in town. So if you like treasure hunting, Gonzales is a GREAT place to come browse all the shops. They also have a little coffee shop inside. Open every day but sunday.

Palmetto State Park

State park known for its lush plant life and excellent bird watching.

This State Park was a pleasant surprise! Went in Feb, so probably didn't experience the total beauty of the plant life, but the trails were VERY well kept and marked. The CCC structures were in good condition, the RV sites appeared to be super nice with concrete pads and lots of shade. I bet the water access would be wonderful during hot weather. It's a gem.

Gonzales Memorial Museum

Reviewed By anomadis - Alexandria, Egypt

Visit the museum if you are in the area. It's free and it contains a lot of interesting artifacts from the Texas Revolution, settlers of Gonzales, WWI, and WWII. The "Come and Take It!" cannon is also located at the museum. If you are interested in the history of the Revolution, talk to the director who is working there--he is quite knowledgeable.
